If you wouldn't have known better, you may have thought this a glorified squash match at first.
Antonio Cesaro successfully defended his United States championship over The Miz on the YouTube pre-show of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV) taking place tonight (Sun., Jan. 27, 2013) at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Cesaro dominated most of the match, utilizing his power moveset to simply batter and bruise Miz all around the ring while the ringside commentary team put over how impressive his performance was. Eventually, Miz made a comeback but after doing so, he landed awkwardly coming off the top rope and appeared to have injured his ankle.
Not long after, Cesaro hit the Neutralizer to get the three count.
Both guys will now go on to the Royal Rumble match later on in the night. That's assuming, of course, that Miz is healthy enough to do so after that nasty spot off the top rope.
