Crazy Thought of the Day: CM Punk and Brock Lesnar team up to really end an era

Here's our latest "Crazy Thought of the Day:" CM Punk and Brock Lesnar should team up to end the era Triple H and Undertaker claimed was ending at WrestleMania 28.

When Triple H decided he would be taking on Undertaker at WrestleMania 28 last year, the promotion for the match promised that it would be the "end of an era." Essentially, "The Game" only accepted the challenge with "The Deadman" under the premise that it would bring an official end to the old guard, signaling a new day for WWE.

Naturally, that's not what happened.

Undertaker won, of course, and helped carry Triple H out with the special guest referee that night, Shawn Michaels, before a curtain call as they disappeared to the back. It was an incredible match with a ton of heart that got over huge but the marketing for it was always bullshit and we all knew it.

Now it's been proven as such with Triple H promising we haven't seen the last of Undertaker and the best of sources for pro wrestling news reporting Trips himself will be back in the ring at WrestleMania 29 for another high profile match with the returning Brock Lesnar.

Those same sources are saying the demon from Death Valley will be up against current WWE Champion (he won't be by the time 'Mania rolls around) CM Punk.

Which brings us to my "Crazy Thought of the Day" -- why not have Punk and Lesnar team up against the two?

No, I'm not talking about a tag team match. You can take that Teddy Long shit and stuff it. I'm talking about Brock returning to WWE on an episode of Monday Night Raw and aligning himself with Punk, who is managed by Paul Heyman, the same man who manages the Brockness Monster.

Their reason for doing so? To end the era Triple H promised would end last year. To finish off both Triple H and Undertaker for good. To take over WWE and right all the wrongs and injustices within pro wrestling. Yes, The Shield would finally be revealed as working in collusion with Punk, and now Lesnar. They're out to completely take over and Triple H and Undertaker are the legendary two tasked with stopping it.

This would allow for a great number of possibilities. With news of Brock possibly re-signing with WWE, it makes no sense for him to lose at WrestleMania. But I can't imagine "The Game" jobbing clean to him again, so you can have The Shield and/or Punk run in to help out and give Brock the win that way. This would occur earlier in the evening, setting up all the anticipation that Punk would use that same help to finally end Undertaker's streak.

He wouldn't do it, of course, but at this point you're going to have to throw the kitchen sink at 'Taker to create even a shadow of a doubt that he'll lose at WrestleMania.

This would create an easy to work story that would fill weeks of television and likely be far more intriguing than Triple H simply wanting to avenge his loss and whatever they come up with to get to Punk vs. Undertaker.

Right? Or am I crazy?
