During the course of discussions on how to build the WrestleMania 29 pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for Sun., April 7, 2013, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, WWE officials reportedly kicked around the idea of having Undertaker put his streak on the line against Ryback.
Response to these rumors was decidedly mixed.
It's still a possibility, although faint, that the match could happen. If it does, it will be a dream come true for Ryback, who told ESPN.com that's the match he wants:
"One of my goals, and I don't know how many more he has in him, so we need this to happen soon, and that's Undertaker. He's the one man who is undefeated at WrestleMania, and he's somebody who I've had in my mind for a long, long time. I would love to be able to step into the ring with 'The Dead Man' and to be able to scream 'Feed me more!' in his face would be quite the honor."
Aim high and all that.
Current rumors have Undertaker likely facing CM Punk at 'Mania next year but plans are prone to change in an instant in WWE and Vince McMahon and company could ultimately decide if Ryback is hot enough, he could get a good rub from a match with Undertaker.
I'm just not sure about the quality of a match like that.
What are your thoughts, Cagesiders? Would you like to see Ryback vs. Undertaker at WrestleMania 29?
