It's official.
The Rock's return to WWE will happen on the first episode of Monday Night Raw of the new year, according to the Miami Herald. He's scheduled to appear on Jan. 7, 2013, at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa, Florida.
But wait! There's more!
On top of appearing on Raw, "The Great One" is also penciled in for the SmackDown tapings the very next night at the American Airlines Arena in Miami. So if you live in Florida and haven't decided if you would like to go to either or, maybe you should try to go to both.
It should be electrifying.
The Jan. 7 episode of Raw will feature CM Punk defending his WWE championship in a TLC match against The Ryback. Rock will undoubtedly have something to do with this match, or at the very least have a promo that involves one or both men. WWE is hoping both the match and Rock's return will give them plenty of ammunition so they don't get blown away in the ratings by the BCS National Championship Game between Notre Dame and Alabama being broadcast the very same night.
Projections for that game currently have it doing around 30-32 million viewers, making it the most watched cable television program in history. That doesn't leave a lot of pie left for WWE.
Still, with the show being put together right now, Raw should be able to escape without taking too big of a hit.
It's all just over three weeks away, folks. Are you ready to once again smell what The Rock is cooking?
