This was certainly no shocker.
Antonio Cesaro has been one of the strongest United States champions in some time, so it would have made no sense R-Truth to take the title off him at tonight's (Sun., Dec. 16, 2012) WWE TLC pay-per-view (PPV) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
And he didn't.
Cesaro worked his power style, though he did sell quite a bit of Truth's offense. Eventually, though, he hit the Neutralizer to pick up the pin to retain his championship. It seems clear the time for a new challenger is now.
