WWE Hell in a Cell results: CM Punk beats Ryback to retain title after smoz finish involving Brad Maddox

As they were scheduled to, CM Punk and Ryback met in a Hell in a Cell match at the pay-per-view of the same name tonight (Sun., Oct. 28, 2012) in Atlanta. So who won and how?

It happened. Ryback was given a WWE championship match in the main event of a pay-per-view against CM Punk. It went down tonight (Sun., Oct. 28, 2012) at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, at Hell in a Cell in a match of the same name.

We wondered how Ryback would do opposite Punk, if he could hold his own in a match of this magnitude.

Surprisingly enough, he did. He held up just fine. He certainly didn't deliver a classic or anything but Punk helped carry him to a solid back-and-forth affair.

Then, right when Ryback took control and was going to deliver the Shell Shock, the referee, Brad Maddox from FCW, stopped him and delivered a low blow that led to a roll up from Punk and a fast count from the crooked ref.

Punk retained the title with the quick count.

Immediately after, Punk and Maddox tried to escape but the door wouldn't open fast enough and Ryback recovered to absolutely destroy both guys, with Maddox getting it the worst.

That was until both men climbed the cage and Ryback hit Shell Shock on top of the cage. Ryback then led a "FEED ME MORE" chant to close the show.

It was the smoz finish we knew was coming but not the one we expected. Is Maddox a Paul Heyman guy? Or does he have other motives?
