Ouch.
WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia was reportedly struck by a car yesterday (Fri., Oct. 26, 2012) in Los Angeles, California. That's according to WWE.com, who broke the story:
Garcia suffered multiple contusions and lacerations on the left side of her body, but she is expected to make a full recovery. Doctors have immobilized Garcia's neck and will be keeping her hospitalized overnight to monitor her.
Speaking from personal experience, the process works the same every time. I was hit by a car while crossing the road and lifted up into the air for a hard back bump (that Triple H would have been proud of).
I didn't feel injured but went to the hospital to be checked out nonetheless and was immediately immobilized in a neck brace. In fact, they took this serious enough that instead of letting me take my shirt off for the x-ray, they cut it off while I was still immobilized and not allowed to move.
Ultimately, I was just fine, simply suffering from whiplash. Let's hope Garcia is just fine as well.
