Houston Texans blow out Baltimore Ravens 43-13 with WWE superstar Booker T serving as honorary team captain

Another WWE superstar found himself serving as honorary team captain of a professional football team and, for the second time in as many weeks, that team won by way of blowout.

Just last week, WWE superstar John Cena served as honorary team captain of the New York Jets for their game against the Indianapolis Colts at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The Jets ended up blowing the Colts out that day, easily taking home a 35-9 victory and rejuvenating a season that looked bleak after a 2-3 start to the season, including a shutout loss to the San Francisco 49ers. That game saw WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia sing at halftime.

The latest wrestler to get involved with an NFL team is Booker T, a Texas native who served as honorary team captain of the Houston Texas yesterday for their home showdown against the Baltimore Ravens at Reliant Stadium.

The result? Houston destroyed Baltimore, winning 43-13 and establishing themselves as the clear favorite in the AFC. The victory also pushed the team's record to 6-1, the best start in franchise history.

What does this all mean? Probably nothing. But it gives me a good enough reason to write about the NFL while touting WWE superstars as some sort of good luck charm for winning home teams.

Now if they could just send someone out to Chicago for the Bears game against the Detroit Lions tonight ...
