While Raw’s house shows were getting pub for fun moments, SmackDown’s shows were where newsworthy stuff was happening.
We already knew she was on her way back. Becky Lynch returns to television on Tuesday, Oct. 25 and will defend her title in Scotland the following week. But Saturday night in Sioux City, Iowa, the Women’s champ wrestled for the first time since an unnamed medical issue from before No Mercy took her out of action.
Lynch defeated Alexa Bliss, the #1 contender she’ll battle in Glasgow.

Lynch also worked Sunday night’s show in Des Moines, as part of a six-woman tag, where she teamed with Emma & Naomi against Alexa Bliss, Natalya, and Carmella. At that Oct. 23 event, former United States champion Kalisto also returned after an extended absence (reportedly for a back injury), defeating Tyler Breeze in an undercard match.

The luchador was working with Baron Corbin when he disappeared from our screens, and now that it looks like the Lone Wolf is done with Jack Swagger, WWE may revisit that program.
Stay tuned, and welcome back Bex and Lucha Kitty’s dad!
