Where’s Fandango - or - what happened to Breezango?

Shortly before the brand split, there were rumors that Vince McMahon liked the pairing of Tyler Breeze and Fandango - possibly enough to give them a push.

The duo, eventually dubbed Breezango, seemed to be connecting with fans. While probably never destined to reach Enzo Amore & Big Cass levels of popularity, they were getting a response both online and in arenas.

They were entered in the SmackDown tag team championship tournament, and unsurprisingly eliminated by American Alpha in the first round. And since then...

As a team (or more specifically as part of eight-man matches) they’re still active on house shows. And Breeze and Fandango have worked singles matches on Main Event. But as team, Creative doesn’t seem to have anything for them.

Or do they? Fallout videos often lead to nothing (ask Cody Rhodes), but at least someone behind-the-scenes at the blue brand remembered that good things happen when you point a camera at the Duke of Delish. Backstage silliness has worked to get fans invested in acts ranging from Golden Truth to current SmackDown tag champs Heath Slater & Rhyno.

A few weeks of “where in the world is Breeze’s buddy Fandango?” could do wonders for them.

Let’s hope so, anyway.
