SmackDown Women’s champ Becky Lynch hasn’t been out with her injury not related to wrestling for that long, but she already itching for a comeback. And thanks to a surprising decision to have Naomi upset #1 contender Alexa Bliss in the make-up match at No Mercy, there were rumblings that when she returned, it might be to find a different challenger waiting.
No changes yet, at least according to the announcment they made early on during the blue brand’s episode tonight (Oct. 11)...

This looks to be good news for everyone but Naomi, at this point. WWE is confident enough in Lynch’s recovery to keep hyping this bout - and they aren’t cooking up plans to strip her of the belt. And, despite the loss, Bliss is keeping her status as Bex’s first title defense.
There’s a long way to go before Nov. 8th, though, so we won’t start previewing this one-on-one match just yet.
