WWE SmackDown results, live blog (July 9, 2015): Seth Rollins vs. Ryback

WWE SmackDown comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (July 9, 2015) from Milwaukee, Wisconsin with a taped show on the SyFy channel featuring all the latest build to the upcoming Battleground pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for next month in St. Louis.

Because SmackDown is a taped show, you can simply go read the spoilers to know everything that happens (find them by clicking here). We will provide results with a live blog below anyway.

You can use this space to discuss all the events as they occur, however, and it's probably going to enhance your viewing experience. In fact, I know it is because we're a lot of fun around here.

Enjoy the show!

SMACKDOWN RESULTS

BaconStrips here. Let's do this

WWE Signature and a recap of Brock Lesnar's killing spree on Raw.

_____________________________________________

Seth Rollins comes down to the ring alone due to J&J Security being maimed by one Brock Lesnar.

He talks about how he was a man by calling out Brock Lesnar on Raw. However, Lesnar proved that he is really a coward for taking his frustrations out on the Cadillac as well as J&J Security. Lesnar messed with Rollins' family, and Rollins is going to embarrass The Beast at Battleground

As Rollins talks, a tow truck backs into the arena with the mangled Cadillac in tow. Paul Heyman comes out to confess his sins as he IS the advocate for The Beast that desecrated the car.

Heyman speaks in metaphors before dropping the big one: the damage sustained by the car pales in comparison to the damage that Seth Rollins will sustain during his next trip to Suplex City, BI.

Rollins, just realizing that Heyman is in the arena, counters by saying that the car is a metaphor to what Lesnar will look like after Rollins destroys him at Battleground. As a result, Heyman will be all alone when Lesnar is vanquished.

Heyman and Rollins go back and forth until Heyman declares that Lesnar will win at Battleground. However, Rollins cuts Heyman off by telling him to shut up, and that HE will win at Battleground.

Commandment 12: Thou shalt not cut off Paul Heyman

Dean Ambrose vs Bo Dallas

Before the match, Dallas tells us that Ambrose needs inspiration and a shower. He reminds us of what happened when he inspired The Rock (but he failed to mention that he got his ass laid out by a Rock Bottom).

For what it was, this was a surprisingly fun and competitive match. Dallas had control for a good while, but Ambrose came back and hit Dirty Deeds after an exciting second half of the match.

Backstage, Seth Rollins is stressed out when Big Show comes in and tries to calm him down. Rollins says that he can destroy the neanderthal known as Brock Lesnar on his own, but he wouldn't mind Big Show helping with burning Suplex City to the ground. Rollins and Show talk about softening Ryback before Battleground.

Recap of the ever-entertaining Rusev/Ziggler/Lana/Summer Rae love quadrilateral. It is revealed that Ziggler is out indefinitely due to some tracheal issues resulting from a crutch being shoved into his throat.

Rusev vs Fandango

Hey, Rusev has shoes now. Also, my satellite went out due to a storm, but it doesn't take a MENSA member to tell you what happens here...

Rusev crushes Fandango

Big Show vs Roman Reigns

You've seen this one before, and it's as slow and lumbering as the previous ones. Reigns gets the win by DQ after Bray Wyatt attacks following a distraction by another fake Wyatt.

Roman Reigns def Big Show by DQ

After the bell, Reigns is chokeslammed by Show and a Sister Abigail for the clean-up

Titus O'Neil vs Big E

This was just a good ol' fashioned hoss fight...no real complaints or highlights other than New Day getting ejected. Titus wins with Clash of the Titus.

Randy Orton comes to the ring.

He talks about making a bunch of enemies over his 13 years in WWE, but no one has gotten under his skin more than Sheamus. He makes himself an impossible mission: making Sheamus entertaining, ripping his mohawk off, and shoving it up his arse.

As Orton leaves, The Ascension(?) comes out to tell Orton to leave or "fall prey to two hungry wolves." Orton is unimpressed, and delivers some RKOs after more Ascension hoopla.

Brie Bella and Alicia Fox vs Naomi and Tamina

Nothing match that ends with (surprise surprise) a distraction(!!!). Nikki distracted the ref as Tamina tried to Samoan Drop Alicia. Brie pulled Alicia down and Tamina was shoved into Naomi. Scissors kick to Tamina for the win.

Rich Brennan interviews Ryback. Ryback calls Seth Rollins a coward for running from Brock Lesnar. He's not been acting like a real champion, and it's feeding time

Ryback vs Seth Rollins

Ho hum match that sees Rollins lose when he takes his title and goes home. Yup.

Ryback def Seth Rollins by count-out

After the match, Big Show comes out and the two start wailing on Ryback until Roman Reigns comes out to even the numbers. Reigns spears Show, and Ryback Shellshocks Rollins to end
