WWE SmackDown results, live blog (July 2, 2015): Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns

WWE SmackDown comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (July 2, 2015) from Hersey, Pennsylvania with a taped show on the SyFy channel featuring all the latest build to the upcoming Battleground pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for next month in St. Louis.

Because SmackDown is a taped show, you can simply go read the spoilers to know everything that happens (find them by clicking here). We will provide results with a live blog below anyway.

You can use this space to discuss all the events as they occur, however, and it's probably going to enhance your viewing experience. In fact, I know it is because we're a lot of fun around here.

Enjoy the show!

BaconStrips here. Let's do this...

WWE Signature and a recap of The Price is Right Raw

Seth Rollins and J&J Security come out.

Rollins talks about J&J riding around in style with a new Cadillac and new Apple watches before starting to talk about the changing world. They show a clip of Brock Lesnar getting beat down as a reminder of change. After the clip, he calls himself the greatest star of this WWE generation.

As he talks about the beatdown of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, a "Suplex City" chant starts. As this goes on, Rollins informs us of a couple matches tonight: Dean Ambrose vs Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins.

As Rollins wonders where Roman Reigns is, Dean Ambrose comes out, exits, and reenters with a kendo stick. Ambrose swings the stick wildly, causing Rollins and company to run away.

Dean Ambrose vs Bray Wyatt

Despite the fact that these two have had many matches together, this was still a pretty good, physical match. Ambrose took one risk on the outside too many and walked into a Black Hole Slam into the barricade for his troubles. Sister Abigail gets Wyatt the win.

Bray Wyatt def Dean Ambrose

R-Truth vs Adam Rose

Come back from commercial to Rose saying that we don't get it. Rosa Mendes apparently cut a promo before this match, and it was edited out (no complaining from me)

Nothing match. Lie Detector for the win.

Recap of Kevin Owens powerbombing Cesaro and John Cena.

A clip of Ryback's interview with Michael Cole is shown. Rich Brennan asks for Mark Henry's reaction, and Henry is pissed.

Ryback vs Mark Henry

Fairly slow paced hoss fight that sees Ryback land a Shellshock on Henry for the win.

Backstage, J&J are screwing with their smartwatches...that's it.

Brie Bella vs Naomi

Pretty mediocre match here with nothing of note to mention. Brie hits the Bella Buster for the win.

Bray Wyatt cuts a promo toward Roman Reigns, saying that he is the reason why he isn't at SmackDown tonight. He also calls the "one vs all" line a lie, saying that Reigns cares about too many people to make that line reign true. Wyatt promises Reigns something: He will burn everything Reigns loves to the ground and finish him last.

The Ascenson vs The Primetime Players

Just an average match with a couple sloppy moments. Titus O'Neil got the usual hot tag and cleaned house. He hits the big spinebuster on Konnor for the win.

Rusev and Summer Rae come to the ring.

After telling the crowd to shut up, Rusev gives the mic to Summer, who apologizes for her actions on Raw. Instead, she should have never stood down from the gold digger known as Lana. Summer calls Rusev a kind man and "her gain." Rusev kisses her hand afterward.

Rusev calls Summer Rae a "real woman...who knows her place." He says that he never needed that witch Lana.

"I have a better Lana than....a better woman than..." - Actual botch from Rusev.

Rusev says that he will maim Dolph Ziggler and hang him to dry in his backyard.

Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins comes out and gives Reigns ten seconds to make it to the ring or forfeit. Reigns enters at around the 6 second mark.

Decent enough match that ends when (SURPRISE!!!) J&J Security attack Reigns, causing a DQ.

Roman Reigns def Seth Rollins by DQ

After the match, Dean Ambrose comes out with a kendo stick and cleans house with Reigns as Jimmy Uso marks out of his pants.

Ambreigns beat the hell out of Joey Mercury and stand tall to end
