WWE SmackDown results, live blog (May 21, 2015): Roman Reigns returns

WWE SmackDown comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (May 21, 2015) from Norfolk, Virginia with a taped show on the SyFy channel featuring the fallout show from the Payback pay-per-view (PPV) that went down this past Sunday night in Baltimore.

Because SmackDown is a taped show, you can simply go read the spoilers to know everything that happens (find them by clicking here). We will provide results with a live blog below anyway.

You can use this space to discuss all the events as they occur, however, and it's probably going to enhance your viewing experience. In fact, I know it is because we're a lot of fun around here.

Enjoy the show!

SMACKDOWN RESULTS

BaconStrips here. Let's do this?!?

WWE Signature and a recap of Architect of a Dream

Roman Reigns comes out to talk.

Bad news first: he didn't win at Payback. Good news: he had a REALLY good time at Payback...especially because he punched Seth Rollins in the mouth.

He talks about the brief Shield reunion and about punching little security guards in the face. He also drops a bombshell: he is entering the Money in the Bank ladder match, and he will win...believe that.

At this moment, Dean Ambrose comes out. He says that he made a wrong turn at catering and ended up outside.

He starts talking about the appeal of violence and how it makes him happy. He says that he won't be reaching for the chance to be the WWE Champion...because he WILL be WWE Champion.

Reigns starts to tell him to think a little when Kane comes out. He says that The Authority always wins, and Reigns questions this since Kane is always on his back.

Kane comes back, saying that Reigns is NOT in the MITB match, and that he has to prove his mettle to Kane after his losses at WrestleMania and Payback.

Ambrose takes his mic and brings up the Big Red Monster past and how he is The Authority's lap dog now. Kane responds by making Dean Ambrose vs Bray Wyatt for tonight.

As for Reigns, Creative Kane has nothing for him, so he has the night off to reflect and stuff. Reigns plans to eat crab cakes and cheesecake and watch the show.

Los Matadores vs The Brass Ring Club vs The Ascension vs Lucha Dragons

Yes, this match was a complete mess as you would expect, but it was just pure, insane fun. All eight people involved in the match were involved in some fun spots, and the guest commentary from The New Day and The Prime Time Players was fun as well. The Lucha Dragons get the win after Kalisto hits a Matador with a nifty (if slightly sloppy) spike hurricurrana.

Recap of the Lana/Rusev debacle.

Renee Young interviews Dolph Ziggler about the whole situation and Rusev's post-Raw comments, and he calls it a heck of a week, including getting busted open at Payback and getting smooched at Raw. He addresses the love triangle thing before briefly bringing up the Elimination Chamber and his match tonight with King Barrett. At this moment, a smiling Lana comes in and wishes Ziggler good luck, and she'll be watching.

Ziggler asks Renee to give them a moment, and he addresses the situation about her trying to make Rusev jealous. He knows the game....but says that she isn't a bad kisser.

King Barrett vs Dolph Ziggler

Fun match that we've seen before. Ziggler gets the win with the Zig Zag following a fun exchange

After the match, Lana comes out and applauds Ziggler

Paige comes out to the ring. She talks about the events leading to her little hiatus due to Naomi beating the hell out of her and putting her out of commission.

She then starts attacking Naomi and Tamina (calling her Naomi's boyfriend and asking if she's in the right division). She then says that it's her division, not Naomi.

Naomi and Tamina come out and Naomi cuts her usual promo about her struggle and all that (she also makes a reference about Paige screaming all the time). Naomi quite easily removed Paige from the equation and took her opportunity, a fact that Paige turns around and throws in Naomi's face.

The argument continues (with Paige spitting some fire) until Naomi and Tamina eventually attack Paige until Nikki Bella makes the save. Naomi and Tamina are taken out, then Nikki takes Paige out with the Bellahammer and Rack Attack.

Triple threat incoming? (Edit: Yep)

R-Truth vs Stardust

We've seen this one before. Truth gets the win with the Lie Detector after distraction Stardust with his own glove (seriously).

Renee Young interviews Ryback about his upcoming Elimination Chamber match. He delivers a message: The Big Guy is hungry, and he will devour anything in his way.. He also has some vegan recipes.

Recap of Kevin Owens killing John Cena at Raw. Also recapped was the debut of one Samoa Joe at Unstoppable.

"The Mega Powers" vs Adam Rose and Heath Slater

This was a match. "The Mega Powers" got the win after Axel hit the leg drop.

Renee Young interviews Bo Dallas about his attack on Neville. He tells a story about a bird from his youth that he nursed back to health. He says that he's trying to make Neville stronger.....all Neville has to do is BOLIEVE!

Dean Ambrose vs Bray Wyatt

Pretty good back-and-forth match that sees J&J Security and Seth Rollins get involved. However, Roman Reigns comes down and evens the odds. He Superman-Punches Wyatt while the ref is distracted, allowing for Ambrose to hit Dirty Deeds for the win.
