WWE SmackDown results, live blog (May 14, 2015): Payback go home show

WWE SmackDown comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (May 14, 2015) from Evansville, Indiana with a taped show on the SyFy channel featuring the go home show to the upcoming Payback pay-per-view (PPV) this Sunday night in Baltimore.

Because SmackDown is a taped show, you can simply go read the spoilers to know everything that happens (find them by clicking here). We will provide results with a live blog below anyway.

You can use this space to discuss all the events as they occur, however, and it's probably going to enhance your viewing experience. In fact, I know it is because we're a lot of fun around here.

Enjoy the show!

SMACKDOWN RESULTS

BaconStrips here. Let's do this...

_____________________________________________

Got home about 5 minutes after this started, so I walked in on Dean Ambrose acknowledging that he DID hit Roman Reigns with Dirty Deeds. At this moment, Reigns comes out and Ambrose drops the bomb: I'm not gonna apologize.

Reigns responds that he's gonna get payback on Ambrose at Payback. Tonight, they're brothers; at Payback, brotherhood is going out the window.

Reigns offers a handshake until Kane comes out all happy-like. He reminds us that it's every man for himself at Payback, and Ambrose responds that Kane will be out of a job come Raw.

Kane makes a match: Dean Ambrose vs Sheamus.....rightNOW!!!

Dean Ambrose vs Sheamus

This was a pretty standard yet hard-hitting match that saw Ambrose get the win with a roll-up

Kane and Seth Rollins chat backstage. Rollins addresses a rumor that Kane is still debating about helping Rollins at Payback. He tells Kane to "do the right thing", and Kane says that he won't know what "the right thing" will be until Payback. Rollins wishes Kane luck in his match, and Kane wishes Rollins luck in his match...against Ryback.

Rusev and Lana come to the ring. The crowd starts a "USA" chant, and Rusev tells them to shut up because "the woman wants to talk"

He then gives the mic to Lana, who reads a scripted apology. She then goes to the corner as Rusev cuts a promo about his upcoming I Quit match against John Cena. It's all standard fare stuff (Rusev will make Cena quit with The Accolade and all that stuff, including an edited video of Cena saying "I quit")

Yeah...

Renee Young interviews Ryback about his match against Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt stalking him. Ryback says that his match with Rollins could lead to a possible title shot in the future. As for Wyatt, Ryback is going to continue from where he left off on Monday when he delivered a Meat Hook to Wyatt.

Seth Rollins vs Ryback

Before the match, Rollins reminds us of him getting annihilated at the end of Raw, and vows that it will never happen again. He's gonna wait until the other three men kill each other before swooping in for the win.  He starts to address Ryback right as the man himself comes out.

As for Ryback, he is ambushed by Bray Wyatt as he comes out, leaving him in Lala-Land. He recovers and tells the ref to ring the bell to Rollins' dismay.

The match was, for the most part, in Rollins' favor. Although Ryback tried to get back into it, he just couldn't overcome the effects of his attack. Rollins gets the win with Avada Kedavra after a J&J distraction.

The Meta Powers vs The Ascension AND The Bella Twins vs Naomi/Tamina are announced for Payback.

Renee Young interviews Naomi and Tamina. Naomi says that they're tired of being overlooked by everyone, and they're gonna take what's theirs. Tamina says that they run this place now. Naomi finishes by saying that a good girl has to go bad sometimes.

Tyson Kidd vs Kofi Kingston

Before the match, Xavier Woods calls the Brass Ring Club cheaters, but The New Day will give them a second chance at redemption at Payback. Big E calls them bad people because they don't recycle and double dip (which, if true, will put them on my s**t list). They try to do the "New Day rocks" chant, but you know how this goes by now.

This was a short but fun match that saw New Day and the Brass Ring Club being their usual awesome selves. Kidd got the win with a sharpshooter.

Recap of Daniel Bryan surrendering his Intercontinental Championship

Bo Dallas comes out and says that he will be there for all of those who believed in Daniel Bryan. Dallas also gives the five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance, and using all of those in relation to Daniel Bryan's situation. All we have to do is BOLIEVE!!!

And then Neville comes down to shut him up.

Neville vs Bo Dallas

King Barrett comes out for some commentary.

Quick match that sees Neville get the win with the Red Arrow.

Neville def Bo Dallas

After the match, Barrett says that he doesn't have time to deal with a mere pheasant like Neville, and he deserves some good ol' fashioned corporal punishment.

Weird backstage segment involving Adam Rose, Rosa Mendes, and the Rosebuds. The hot dog is named Carl. Rose and Rosa make out as Kane walks out to his match.

Kane vs Roman Reigns

This no DQ match was actually pretty fun for what it was worth. Both men beat the hell out of each other (including Kane chokeslamming Reigns though a table), but Reigns came out on top with a spear on Kane through a table.

Roman Reigns def Kane

_____________________________________________

Backstage, Renee Young interviews Seth Rollins when Dean Ambrose offers some cookies. A brawl ensues and Roman Reigns helps Ambrose run them off.

The Brothers Shield stand tall...until they realize that they are standing over Rollins' title. Reigns offers another handshake, and Ambrose fakes him out and goes for the belt....and puts in on Reigns' shoulder.
