WWE SmackDown returns to SyFy this coming Thursday night (May 14, 2015) from Evansville, Indiana but the show was taped, as usual, on Tuesday. That means full spoilers are readily available if you're the impatient type who doesn't want to wait a couple days for the payoff.
Unwrap that present early:
- Dean Ambrose starts the show in the ring, talking the Fatal 4Way for the WWE title at Payback. Another man in that match, Roman Reigns comes out, and the two friends agree that Dean hitting his finisher on Roman Monday night was all in the game. Kane interupts and give the former Shield-mates a mutual target. The Director of Operations responds by making matches. Ambrose's is...RIGHT NOW.
- A reportedly hard-hitting affair between The Lunatic Fringe and The Celtic Warrior ends with Ambrose hitting an uppercut in the corner and pouncing on a quick pin.
- Drama between Kane and WWE champ Seth Rollins continues when they bicker backstage and The Demon puts Seth in a match with Ryback.
- Rusev and Lana come out, with the Bulgarian again uphappy with his social ambassador's popularity with the American audience. He makes her apologize for her recent behavior.
- The champ comes to the ring to complain about his match. Ryback starts his entrance but gets jumped by Bray Wyatt. Rollins is gloating that he wins by forfeit, but Mr. Ryback is still HUNGRY and makes it through the ropes to start the match. Despite The Big Guy's tenacity, he loses.
- Naomi & Tamina Snuka get a TitanTron promo.
- The New Day talk their way down to the ring. Kofi Kingston has a match with Tyson Kidd, and he taps to a Sharpshooter.
- They tease an update on Daniel Bryan's health, but it's interrupted by Bo Dallas. He has been telling us since last Summer that DB needs to BO-lieve. Neville cuts him off to an enthusiastic response from the crowd, and pins him following a Red Arrow for more of the same. King Barrett, who was on commentary, cuts a promo on his countryman to hype their match on Sunday.
- A backstage segment with Adam Rose and the Rosebuds is shown.
- Main event is Reigns vs. Kane in a No DQ match. Weapons come out early and The Big Red Monster works over Roman. The Big Dog eventually makes a big babyface comeback and hits the Spear to stand tall on his way to his next WWE title shot.
Make you want to watch on Sunday night, Cagesiders?
