WWE SmackDown ratings (April 30, 2015): Viewers hit year low for Extreme Rules fallout

WWE.com

This past Monday night's episode of Raw saw viewers drop in a big way, plummeting from 4.03 million last week to 3.75 million this week. It was one of the worst audiences for an episode of WWE's flagship program in the past 15 years and it came the night after the Extreme Rules pay-per-view.

Not good.

This week's episode of SmackDown didn't do any better. It too saw a steep drop in viewers, falling from 2.64 million last week to 2.33 million this week. The latter number is the lowest number of the year for the blue brand.

So much for that move to Thursday nights, huh?

The good news is the show will be moving from SyFy to the USA Network in 2016. That takes a bit of sting out of the bite of the rocky transition back to Thursday earlier this year, one that thus far has failed to yield any meaningful results.

Editor's note: Somehow I spaced that the first round of this year's NFL Draft was last night head-to-head with this show. That certainly hurts the number.
