WWE SmackDown results, live blog (Mar. 12, 2015): Intercontinental madness

WWE.com

WWE SmackDown comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Mar. 12, 2015) from Detroit, Michigan with a taped show on the SyFy channel featuring all the latest build to the upcoming WrestleMania 31 pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for later this month in Santa Clara, California.

Because SmackDown is a taped show, you can simply go read the spoilers to know everything that happens (find them by clicking here). We will provide results with a live blog below anyway.

You can use this space to discuss all the events as they occur, however, and it's probably going to enhance your viewing experience. In fact, I know it is because we're a lot of fun around here.

Enjoy the show!

SMACKDOWN RESULTS

My name is BaconStrips. Let's do THIS?!?

Daniel Bryan comes to the ring and talks about himself being involved in the Intercontinental Championship hunt. He makes the reference that he has never won the IC Title before, and he officially announces himself as a participant in the IC Title Ladder match at WrestleMania

Bad News Barrett comes out and gives bad news to Daniel Bryan: BNB is still the IC Champion, and he will still be the IC Champion after WrestleMania

Cue every other participant (Luke Harper, R-Truth, Dolph Ziggler, Stardust, Dean Ambrose) coming out saying how they'll win the IC Title.

Eventually, the inevitable brawl breaks out, and the faces are able to assist the heels out of the ring.

A short aside: Clyde Drexler is in the house tonight

Eight Man Teddy Long Extravaganza (The Usos/The New Day vs The Brass Ring Club/Los Matadores)

This was a pretty fun tag match that got really fast-paced toward the end. Everyone started taking everyone out, and Los Matadores used some Twin Magic to get one over on Kofi Kingston.

Sting's response to Triple H is replayed.

Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, and Dean Ambrose vs Bad News Barrett, Luke Harper, and Stardust is announced for later

Replay of the John Cena/Rusev stuff from Raw.

Ryback vs The Miz

Before the match, Renee Young interviews The Miz. Miz declares himself the favorite to win the Andre the Giant Battle Royal (all the while, Damien Mizdow mocks him). As Mizdow tries to warn Miz about Ryback, Miz tells Mizdow to stay backstage and get him stuff.

Typical Ryback match. Ryback squashes Miz while Mizdow laughs.

Roman Reigns cuts a promo addressing Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman. He rips on Heyman's remarks about his family. He declares that he WILL win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania

At this moment, Mark Henry makes his grand return. He tells Reigns that Lesnar/Heyman have gotten under his skin. Henry recounts his encounters with Brock Lesnar. Henry then tells Reigns that he has to earn his respect in the WWE, and that no one will give it to him.

Reigns starts to leave when Henry starts ripping on him for knowing it all. Henry shoves Reigns, and Reigns fires back with a Superman Punch and a spear into the timekeeper's area.

Roman Reigns can, and he will......BELEE DAT!

AJ Lee/Paige vs Summer Rae/Cameron

The Bellas were on commentary for this one. This match was short with Paige using the scorpion crosslock to get the win.

AJ Lee/Paige def Supper Rae/Cameron

After the match, The Bellas and Paige/AJ have a staredown, with Paige nearly murdering The Bellas after Nikki throws her hat at Paige.

Renee Young interviews Mark Henry backstage. Henry says that he now believes that Roman Reigns can defeat Brock Lesnar.

Michael Cole's interview with Randy Orton is aired. It talks about his return and subsequent murder of Seth Rollins.

Daniel Bryan/Dolph Ziggler/Dean Ambrose vs Bad News Barrett/Luke Harper/Stardust

This match was a pretty long and fun affair that saw the babyface team get the win. I would have been more specific about the ending, but my TV changed channels on me toward the end of the match (the joys of the Hopper)

Team Bryan def Team BNB
