Thanks to inclement weather in the northeast, WWE was forced to cancel its live Monday Night Raw taping at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut and its SmackDown taping in Boston on Tuesday. Instead, Raw featured replays from Royal Rumble and pre-taped interviews from Stamford while SmackDown will air live from Hartford on Thursday night as a make good for fans who bought tickets and weren't able to attend Raw live on Monday.
At first, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar was a part of the advertising for the live SmackDown. Now, however, according to PW Insider, he has been removed from all advertising and likely will not appear.
While the idea of Lesnar not working a SmackDown show isn't surprising in the least, it's at least somewhat of a shock that WWE wouldn't have him work this show. It is, after all, a make up for fans who were expecting to see him live at Raw. The snowstorm screwed that up, but should that mean they now miss out on seeing the WWE champion just because WWE doesn't want to use another one of his dates?
Sorry, Hartford. No Lesnar for you.
