WWE SmackDown returns to SyFy this coming Friday night (Sept. 19, 2014) from Biloxi, Mississippi but the show was taped, as usual, on Tuesday night. That means full spoilers are readily available if you're the impatient type who doesn't want to wait a couple days for the payoff.
Unwrap that present early:
- Jimmy Uso def. Stardust in a straight singles match, meaning they changed the plan from what was initially advertised on Raw.
- Sheamus & Dolph Ziggler def. The Miz & Cesaro in one of those "let's put two title holders together to face their respective challengers at the next PPV in a lame tag match". For those curious, R-Ziggler and Damien Mizdow were reportedly at ringside.
- Adam Rose def Heath Slater after a distraction from The Bunny, who attacked Titus O'Neil. So The Bunny vs. Slater is actually a feud they're building right now.
- Paige def. Nikki Bella with AJ Lee doing commentary ringside. She took the Divas championship and wouldn't give it to Paige after the match. Nikki, in turn, laid them both out setting the stage for what she's planning at the pay-per-view (PPV) this weekend.
- The Wyatt Family def. Big Show & Los Matadores, meaning this is what they went with instead of what was advertised. Bray Wyatt hit Sister Abigail on Fernando for the pin.
- Bo Dallas def. Jack Swagger, with the latter delivering a post-match beatdown.
- Roman Reigns def. Rusev via disqualification after Seth Rollins interfered with the Money in the Bank briefcase. When they brawled, Mark Henry came out to confront Rusev in the ring and they brawled with Henry getting the advantage and standing tall heading into the PPV.
That's the show, folks. Your thoughts?
