WWE SmackDown returns to SyFy this coming Friday night (April 4, 2014) from Washington D.C., but because it's WrestleMania week, the show was taped before Monday Night Raw last night. That means full spoilers are readily available if you're the impatient type who doesn't want to wait a couple days for the payoff.
Unwrap that present early:
- It should be noted right away that SmackDown will be more of a hype show than anything else. Only three segments were taped for the show.
- Hulk Hogan did a promo on the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. He got a good reaction, but there wasn't much to his words, as has been the case since he came back.
- Dolph Ziggler def. Titus O'Neil, continuing Ziggler's recent run of strong performances. He's been winning lately, that loss to Big E in an Intercontinental title match notwithstanding.
- Real Americans def. Los Matadores and during the course of this there was some teased dissension between Cesaro and Zeb Colter instead of Cesaro and Jack Swagger. So WWE might be going back to the idea of breaking this team up again.
That's all, folks. Expect all the video packages hyping the major matches you can handle and what you just read.
