WWE SmackDown returns to the SyFy channel this coming Friday night (Feb. 15, 2013) from Little Rock, Arkansas, but the show was taped, as usual, on Tuesday night. That means full spoilers are readily available if you're the impatient type who doesn't want to wait a couple days for the payoff.
Unwrap that present early (via PWTorch.com):
-- Big Show opened the show complaining about his defeat at the hands of Alberto Del Rio, who naturally made an appearance. So did Chris Jericho, whose presence was enough for Booker T to book the night's main event: Show vs. Jericho.
-- Mark Henry def. Randy Orton via disqualification. Orton went the cheating route with a chair but still ended up laid out via a World's Strongest Slam.
-- Tamina Snuka def. Layla to bolster her stock heading into her Diva's title match this weekend.
-- Brodus Clay and Tensai def. 3MB quick and painless but the big men were both laid out by The Shield, who promised to do the same to John Cena, Sheamus and Ryback at the PPV.
-- The Miz def. Cody Rhodes with the Figure Four and don't worry, apparently he applied it properly this time.
-- Jack Swagger def. Zack Ryder via submission in a squash match to build Swagger up for his spot this weekend.
-- The Rock came out live to cut a promo on CM Punk and Paul Heyman for stealing the WWE championship from him. In the theme for SmackDown tapings, Punk and Paul weren't there but responded via jumbotron pre-tape. This was said to be good from those in attendance so we'll see if they did a good job building to their match on Sunday night.
-- Big Show def. Chris Jericho with the WMD. Del Rio made an appearance for one final staredown to lead into their world heavyweight championship match in just a few days.
There's the show, Cagesiders. How you digging the sound of it?
