Emma could reportedly return from injury soon

Not like next week soon, but sooner than the silence surrounding her injury made us all expect.

Rejoice, fans of Dark Emma/Evil Emma/Whatever She Does That’s Not Emmalina. The mysterious shoulder injury she suffered during the European tour isn’t expected to keep her out much longer, if what the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has heard is accurate (hat tip, Squared Circle Sirens).

Emma is expected to be ready to return in mid-June, which would mean she’d miss Extreme Rules — probably not the worst thing coming off of a shoulder injury — and be back in time for the Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view cycle. That is assuming, of course, that WWE brings Emma back when she’s healthy instead of putting her off to the side until they decide to bring her back. Not like they’d ever do anything like that to Emma, nope nope.

Emma, who only recently came back as the evil iteration of herself, looked to be heading into a feud and/or tenuous friendship with eventual disastrous results for Dana Brooke before injury struck and she left the European tour early. Given that RAW’s women’s division has mostly been Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley and Sasha Banks vs. Alicia Fox since that time, WWE is probably in a good spot to hit play on that budding feud/friendship/rivalry/whatever it was going to be again once Emma returns.
