As prelude to the promised Tag Team championship rematch between New Day and Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows, Raw General Manager Mick Foley brought out Cesaro & Sheamus to address their controversial match at Clash of Champions.
Foley agreed with the Swiss Superman and the Celtic Warrior - and even the fans who complained about the booking. A best-of-seven series deserved resolution, and for someone to be awarded the “championship opportunity” he’d promised.
So Mick thought long and hard, and decided both men deserved a title shot. The catch is... they both have to share it. Because the belts they’re getting the opportunity to win are the Tag titles!

Gallows & Anderson’s latest chance to take the tag belts off of Big E, Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods now had an air of finality about it, seeing as Ces-heamus (Sheamus-aro?) could take Foley’s offer and face the winner.
After another physical affair - including a steel steps spot that left Kofi Kingston bleeding profusely from his head while he hit Anderson with Trouble in Paradise for the pin - their second victory in as many days means that New Day’s reign will stretch past 400 days.

The Club-mates would seem to be out of chances for now. Will Sheamus & Cesaro be the men to end the title run of positivity?
