Chris Jericho turns on AJ Styles after tag title loss on Raw

They came out in matching muscle shirts, but to separate entrance themes. Maybe the latter was a sign of things to come for AJ Styles and Chris Jericho.

Y2AJ was riding high coming into their tag team championship match against New Day tonight. Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods & Big E were crowing about thier reign approaching 200 days in length, but the positive trio had several losses to their challengers coming into the Mar. 7 Raw. With an online beef with League of Nations happening simultaneously, the champs had a lot on their minds.

And things didn't look great during the first half of this contest. Jericho and Styles came out strong, forcing New Day to regroup on the floor. But as is often the case, during a commercial break, a kick from Woods sent Y2J to the mat and put the champs in control of the action. Jericho was able to get a tag, and AJ almost put the match away on two different occassions, but the teamwork/interference of the champs saved their belts.

Finally, it looked like Chris may have secured the win with a Walls of Jericho on Kingston, but Big E took care of Styles on the outside and got the tag, allowing him to hit a Big Ending and keep their titles.

Which, turned out to be too much for Jericho to take. As Styles helped to his feet and the crowd rewarded them for a great match, Y2J hit his partner with a Codebreaker.

If there was any doubt about whether this was spur of the moment decision, Jericho hit him with two more of his finishers, all while calling him a "son of bitch".

Then he balled up the merch they'd come in wearing and shoved it in his once-again rival's mouth.

Expect this to be announced for WrestleMania soon, Cagesiders.
