Vince McMahon opened the final hour of the Feb. 29 Raw, in a spot directly after Michael Cole told us to expect Undertaker. That, and the announcement last week that the Dead Man would be in Nashville for the show, took a lot of the suspense out of his appearance.
But there was still a lot of suspense concerning what Taker would say in response to his having been put in a Hell in a Cell match at WrestleMania against Shane McMahon for control of Monday nights.
The Chairman opened with a long monologue recapping the story and explaining why there's no chance in hell his son will be in charge of Raw on April 4. Vince then touted his personal "instrument of destruction" who would make his prophecy real.
Cue "Rest in Peace".
Undertaker's message to McMahon was shorter than his entrance:
McMahon knows what the Dead Man does in Hell in a Cell matches, and when he does it to Shane, Vince will have his own son's blood on his hands.
Vince continued after his star's exit, promising to disown Shane and take him out of the will, leaving the whole company to Stephanie and Hunter.
Not much to it, other than some Vinnie Mac overacting (and calling his wife a b****), but it does seem to confirm again that we shouldn't expect swerves.
We should expect 46 year old Shane McMahon vs. 50 year old The Undertaker in Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania 32.
Still excited?
