Ric Flair showed up at the end of Raw in Charlotte, North Carolina on Nov. 28, 2016 to celebrate with new Women’s champ Sasha Banks and “get back” at his daughter Charlotte for heelishly kicking him to the curb back in May.
According to a report from PWInsider, that wasn’t a one-time-only appearance for the Nature Boy.
The deal for Flair to show up on Monday night came together at the last minute, but was covered under a new talent contract he recently signed with WWE. Per Insider, Naitch will be a regular on Raw moving forward.
If you’re like me, this probably isn’t your favorite news of the day, as the two-time WWE Hall of Famer was at best a distracting presence as Charlotte’s manager earlier in her main roster run. The obvious assumption is that he’ll return to that role in the women’s division - although possibly as Banks’ advocate instead of his daughter’s. But that’s not mentioned in the report and might not be the role they have in mind for him.
Can’t imagine what else they’d have him do, however.
What are your thoughts of the return of the kiss-stealing, wheelin'-dealin' son of a gun to Monday nights, Cagesiders?
