Tropical Storm Erika could affect Raw in Tampa

Next Monday night's episode of Raw is scheduled to emanate from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida on Aug. 31. With Tropical Storm Erika headed that way, there is some concern that inclement weather could affect the show, much like earlier this year when the post-Royal Rumble episode was cancelled due to a blizzard in Hartford.

The Amalie Arena website posted an update on the situation:

Amalie Arena and our partners at WWE are aware of Tropical Storm Erika's potential impact to our area in advance of WWE Raw on Monday, August 31. At this time, the event is not cancelled. However, we are keeping the storm top of mind. We will release any pertinent information as needed.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott has already declared a state of emergency. WWE, of course, is pushing ahead in the hopes the show will go on -- it was just announced today that Sting will open the show -- but it's at least possible they won't have a choice in the matter.

Stay tuned.
