WWE Raw ratings (July 20, 2015): Viewers up for Undertaker return, Battleground fallout

WWE.com

Considering the fact that Undertaker returned the night before and the show would feature all the fallout from the Battleground pay-per-view (PPV), WWE expected this week's episode of Monday Night Raw to do well in viewership. But while the numbers were up from last week, they were still disappointing.

Indeed, Raw averaged 3.80 million viewers for all three hours, up big from the 3.53 million the week before. Still, the promotion was consistently over 4 million viewers at this time last year.

The hourly breakdown featured a huge drop in the third hour.

Hour one: 3.84 million
Hour two: 4.03 million
Hour three: 3.54 million

So, essentially, they stuck around for the Undertaker-Brock Lesnar brawl -- which was awesome -- but quickly bailed after that. That means they were in for the SummerSlam main event players but not so much for the John Cena-Seth Rollins program that appears to be starting up.

Hmmm.
