Report: Daniel Bryan to return on WWE Raw tonight (May 11, 2015)

Looks like Geno might not be the only happy fan tonight.

PWInsider, who reported over the weekend that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are returning to WWE television tonight on Raw, are also saying that the Intercontinental champion Daniel Bryan will be on tonight's show from Cincinnati, Ohio.

Bryan has been out of action since April 16th's Smackdown broadcast, after which he was sent home from WWE's European tour for an undisclosed injury. Reports at the time indicated he would be out of action for a month, and the timing seems right considering those reports.

There's no work on if he will wrestle tonight, but the report says that he will be working Sunday's Payback pay-per-view (PPV) in Baltimore, so his appearance may be to either reboot his match with Bad News Barrett that was scheduled for April's Extreme Rules but was switched to a pre-show bout with Neville due to Bryan's injury or to quickly set up a new feud for the IC champ.

While this seems like good news for DB fans, there's nothing in the report that updates his health status. That picture remains muddy with reports from before the flight to the United Kingdom that he was experiencing a recurrence of the neck and arm strength issues that sidelined him for much of 2014 followed by stories of concussions both before and during the company's European dates.

Stay tuned to cSs to find out of The Beard does indeed return tonight and, if so, what he'll be doing next in a WWE ring.
