WWE officially announced just yesterday that ESPN's Bill Simmons, who heads up Grantland and the critically acclaimed 30 for 30 documentary series, will be making a guest appearance on Monday Night Raw next week. It was revealed he would sit in on commentary but unclear for how long.
Now, he's confirmed as much:
I'm joining Raw's broadcast booth for a match or 2 on Monday. Wanted to be there for all 3 hours but JBL's massive ego wouldn't allow it.

If you're wondering why he took a shot at JBL, it appears they're working an angle:
It's too bad you can't read. RT @JCLayfield: Best day ever!!! Just got my copy of @BookerT5x new book!!! pic.twitter.com/wVbOT443IJ

While the prospect of Simmons calling WWE matches certainly doesn't sound all that bad, that he may spend his one or two matches bickering with JBL absolutely does.
We shall see.
