WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR FEB. 23

BaconStrips here. Let's do this.

The long-missed Randy Orton comes out to start the show, and he's not wearing pants...I've missed him so.

Orton isn't here to give a 20 minute promo, but he has something to get off his chest, and it involves one Seth Rollins. He reminds about the time when Rollins curb-stomped him on the steel steps.

For the last four months, Orton has been replaying that scene over and over, and he is just now getting stronger. Rollins got away last night, but it just prolongs the inevitable.

Orton then says "to hell with it" and tells Rollins to get his ass out to the ring. The Authority (Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Kane, and Big Show) come out instead.

Steph takes the mic and welcomes Orton back and recognizes Orton's Fastlane brutality. THAT'S the Orton that we and The Authority want. Orton immediately fires back, saying that he is no longer part of The Authority. Also, he wants to bash Rollins' brains in.

Steph keeps trying to reason with Orton, but won't have a part of it. He says that he'd rather kick ass than kiss ass.

Big Show takes the mic now and tries to reason with Orton to loud boos. Show says that joining The Authority was the best decision he made (LOLOL). Orton fires back, saying that rejoining The Authority is tantamount to selling out.

Steph drops the fact that Orton was never a good guy, but has always wanted the big rewards at the cost of anything and everything. She references his actions against her and her family in 2009. Steph just wants Orton to hear them out and come home. She invites him to a business conference.

"Will you listen?" - Steph

After a long silence, The Authority leaves. Orton eventually accepts their conference offer.

Bad News Barrett vs Dolph Ziggler

We come back from commercial with BNB mid-promo. BNB calls Ambrose a "common thief" and proclaims himself the real Intercontinental Champion. Ziggler interrupts the promo. Also, R-Truth is randomly on commentary here.

After a very good, competitive match, Ziggler gets the win with the Zig Zag. It should be noted that both men beat the hell out of each other and executed some big moves on each other. Seriously, BNB used a powerbomb...can't say I've ever seen that before.

Dolph Ziggler def Bad News Barrett

After the bell, Dean Ambrose comes out with the Intercontinental Title and taunts Barrett. Ambrose and Ziggler also have a bit of a staredown. Truth gets in on the action as well. This could get interesting...

Backstage, The Authority and Randy Orton are gathered for the business conference. Seth Rollins starts complaining, and Steph shuts him up in an instant. Kane starts suggesting something, but Steph tells him off.

Instead, Steph tells everyone that The Authority will be utterly unstoppable if they forgive Randy Orton and move forward with their reign of terror. Orton has a choice here: rejoin The Authority, or pay the penalty.

Orton and Rollins shake hands. Steph plans a celebration: Randy Orton and Seth Rollins vs Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns.

Primetime Players vs The Ascension

This awful. Oh, and The Primetime Players defeat The Ascension

I will repeat this: The Primetime Players defeat The Ascension...

...

Roman Reigns comes down to the ring. There must be a MAJOR Roman Reigns mark in the crowd as there was a bloodcurdling scream when his music started.

Reigns says that it's been one hell of a month, and it all started with the Royal Rumble debacle.

After beating Daniel Bryan at Fastlane, Reigns can finally say that he is going to WrestleMania.

Reigns has a message to his haters, but this is interrupted by Daniel Bryan.

Bryan immediately brings up Reigns' doubters, admitting that he is one of them. In fact, he admits to being the biggest Roman Reigns doubter.

He brings up Roman's look, then says that Roman doesn't have one thing that Bryan has: heart. This is why Bryan never liked Reigns.

Last night, Bryan gave it all he had, but he didn't overcome Reigns. However, he doesn't regret a single thing from last night. Instead, Reigns proved to Bryan that he has more heart than Bryan.

Bryan has one thing left to say: congratulations. He puts out his hand, and Reigns shakes it. Bryan also says that he would have no other partner than Reigns.

Bryan repeats his request to Reigns: Beat the crap out of Brock Lesnar.

"Ladies and gentlemen..." Paul Heyman comes out and allows Bryan to leave unscathed.

Heyman introduces himself and says that he here to congratulate Reigns on his victory. The two shake hands, and Heyman compliments the match.

Heyman endorses Reigns and his distinct look and heart. As the endorsements come in, the boos get louder and louder. To keep it short, Heyman's money was always on Roman Reigns.

Heyman says that Reigns is the right guy in the right place at the wrong time. This is because Reigns is fighting a beast at WrestleMania, and Roman can't slay The Beast.

Heyman proclaims that Brock Lesnar will retain at WrestleMania.

Reigns tells Heyman to move to the right, and then challenges Heyman to motivate him some more. Reigns reminds us of his staredown with Lesnar at the Blizzard Raw.

Reigns declares that he will destroy Lesnar...BELIEVE THAT

The Usos vs The Brass Ring Club (WWE Tag Team Championship)

This was an average yet competitive match. The end comes when Naomi and Natalya start brawling outside. This leads to Natalya crotching one of the Usos while he was going for the splash, causing a DQ.

The Usos def The Brass Ring Club by DQ.

After the bell, Naomi pulls Natalya off the apron quite harshly, causing an ankle injury.

Backstage, Miz is lint-rolling himself when Mizdow shows up and has news. However, Miz has news of his own: he enters himself into the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Mizdow has bigger news: he was cast into a role in some commercial. Miz responds by having Mizdow lint-roll his jacket.

Recap of Bray Wyatt's promo toward Undertaker from Fastlane.

Wyatt cuts a promo over an open casket. He references 21-1, and how that moment signaled the end of Undertaker's mystique. Undertaker's soul is halfway to hell, and Wyatt is going to finish the job.

"Find me"

Stardust vs Jack Swagger

Quick match that ended when Goldust came out during the match, distracting Stardust enough so Swagger can lock in the Patriot Lock for the win.

Jack Swagger def Stardust

After the bell, Stardust starts to lose it due to the loud "Cody" chants.

John Cena comes out to the ring.

Cena does his usual schtick until he revisits his match with Rusev. He gives props to Rusev, calling their match a true war.

Despite being in The Accolade, Cena never gave up. This was the reason that Rusev low-blowed Cena.

Cena admits that he lost, and Rusev won. He doesn't have a problem with the result, but he has a problem with Rusev, who proved himself to be a coward last night.

At this very moment, Rusev and Lana come out. Lana says "we told you so." After telling the crowd to sha-tup, Lana says that Cena failed, and that he let his country down. Simply put, he can't compete with the superathlete.

Rusev takes the mic now, and another USA chant starts. Rusev says that he broke Cena, and that he is an embarrassment to America. It's Rusev time (AHAHA!!!), and no one can beat him.

Rusev challenges Cena to admit that he is better than him and an embarrassment to America. Cena fires back, telling Rusev to watch his mouth about America.

After Lana reminds us about what happened last night, Cena vows to keep fighting. He also rips on Rusev and Russia, calling him garbage.

Cena vows to beat Rusev and bring the US Title home. Therefore, he challenges Rusev to a WrestleMania match for the US Title. Rusev says no to the challenge, saying that Cena doesn't deserve the shot.

Seth Rollins and Randy Orton have a conversation backstage. Orton wants Rollins to see eye-to-eye tonight, but he won't forget the past. Instead, both vow to show Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns what the Face and the Future of WWE look like.

Paige/Emma vs The Bella Twins

Before this match, an awesome vignette on Sting is aired.

The match lasted five seconds. Emma got pinned after Brie hit her with the Bella Buster

The Bella Twins def Paige/Emma

After the bell, Paige kicks Brie, but Nikki nails her with that forearm and stands over her with the title.

Curtis Axel vs Ryback

Don't turn the channel...Curtis Axel is still in the Royal Rumble, and Axelmania is still alive. Therefore, he's entering into the Andre Battle Royal, and he's gonna win it.

Ryback takes Axel's mic and tells him to shut up. He addresses Rybaxel's history, but then announces that he's gonna win the Andre BR and beat Axel tonight.

The match starts and OH MY GOD AXEL'S TRUNKS ARE AMAZING!!!

Ryback squashes his former partner.

Ryback def Curtis Axel

Daniel Bryan/Roman Reigns vs Randy Orton/Seth Rollins

Before the match, the Seth Rollins/Jon Stewart saga is rehashed. After this, Seth Rollins introduces Randy Orton.

This was a very fun and competitive tag match that saw the two teams pretty much keep together until the end. When Orton is setting up his rope-rung DDT, Rollins tags himself in, and this pisses him off, sending him storming away. The distraction allows Reigns to hit the Superman Punch. As Reigns lines up for the spear, Bryan tags in and delivers the knee for the win. Reigns laughs this off

Bryan/Reigns def Orton/Rollins

After the match, an angry Orton RKOs Jamie Noble and stares down Rollins, but walks away before more damage is done.
