Considering it was Labor Day, the expectation was that the numbers for this past Monday night's episode of Raw would be down. They were, but it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been, especially considering the quality of the show WWE delivered.
Like last week, it wasn't very good.
Still, Raw drew 3.92 million viewers for all three hours, down just slightly from the 3.97 million it garnered the week before. The hourly breakdown, however, shows a steady decline throughout the evening:
Hour one: 4.00 million
Hour two: 3.92 million
Hour three: 3.82 million
The sky isn't falling, certainly, and the lower numbers aren't shocking. But with WWE Network subscribers at that crucial renewal period, WWE needs to put its best foot forward week after week leading into the upcoming Night of Champions pay-per-view.
That hasn't happened.
There are still two weeks to showtime, so don't give up hope just yet.
