Despite the fact that it was the fallout show from the Night of Champions pay-per-view (PPV) the night before, last night's episode of Monday Night Raw in Memphis continued to struggle up against the powerhouse that is ESPN's Monday Night Football.
Viewers were up from last week, but not by much. This week's show drew an average of 3.87 million viewers, up slightly from the 3.82 million seven days ago.
Here's the hourly breakdown:
Hour one: 4.00 million
Hour two: 3.79 million
Hour three: 3.84 million
For what it's worth, the Bears vs. Jets game did just over 13 million viewers.
One issue is availability. Brock Lesnar retained the WWE world heavyweight championship at Night of Champions and he was nowhere to be found on Raw. For that matter, his advocate, Paul Heyman, was also absent. In the end, this was the Dean Ambrose/John Cena show and it held up about as well as most shows do against the NFL.
