WWE Raw ratings (Aug. 11, 2014): Viewers up for SummerSlam go home show

WWE.com

With the return of both Brock Lesnar and John Cena, a heavily promoted birthday celebration for Hulk Hogan, and it being the go home edition for the SummerSlam pay-per-view (PPV) this weekend, last night's episode of Monday Night Raw was expected to do well in viewership.

It did just that.

After last week's show dipped all the way down to 4.03 million viewers, down from the 4.32 million it did the week before, this week rebounded to 4.31 million. What's more, and probably the better news for WWE here, is the streak of viewers dropping off in a big way in the third hour.

Hour one: 4.09 million
Hour two: 4.36 milllion
Hour three: 4.46 million

This is the first time in three weeks WWE closed the show with something other than the Stephanie McMahon-Brie Bella feud. In fairness, it was the first time in that many weeks that its main players, Lesnar and Cena, were available to work in that slot.

Plus, who knew Hulk Hogan was still a draw in 2014?
