Last night's episode of Monday Night Raw in Miami, Florida was a major show, one that featured all the fallout from the Battleground pay-per-view (PPV) the night before, Brock Lesnar's big return to set up a match with John Cena in the main event of SummerSlam next month, and Stephanie McMahon's arrest.
Turns out, all that is best for business.
Indeed, the show averaged 4.43 million viewers, up big from the 4.15 million the Battleground go home episode pulled last week. The hourly breakdown is equally encouraging:
Hour one: 4.25 million
Hour two: 4.52 million
Hour three: 4.52 million
We're officially on the road to SummerSlam and WWE couldn't have done a better job setting up its big matches. Lesnar vs. Cena for the WWE world heavyweight title and Stephanie McMahon vs. Brie Bella should do big business. Throw in Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins, and Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt and we've got us a veritable supershow.
Happy?
