Stephanie McMahon arrested on Raw in one of the best angles in years

Tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw in Miami, Florida, wasn't so much about fallout from last night's Battleground pay-per-view (PPV) as it was about setting up the major matches for the SummerSlam show next month in Los Angeles. One of those matches, according to rumors and reports, is Stephanie McMahon vs. Brie Bella.

Well, they pushed that feud hard on tonight's episode with one of the hottest angles in years that ultimately ended with Stephanie getting arrested and taken to jail.

It began when Nikki Bella said she had a surprise for tonight and that surprise turned out to be her sister, Brie, buying a ticket to watch the show from ringside. Stephanie, unable to help herself, came out to ringside to taunt her rival, getting into a confrontation. Brie called McMahon a bitch, so Stephanie slapped her hard across the face and had her escorted out of the building.

That was that.

Or at least we thought it was.

Later, after Stephanie introduced Flo Rida and stood off to the side while he performed, the police arrived and, just after the lights came back up and the concert ended, Stephanie was read her rights, arrested, and led out of the building to a cruiser that took her to a local jail.

The execution of this angle was absolutely brilliant and Stephanie McMahon continues to be one of the best performers on the roster, if not the very best.
