WWE Raw ratings down for Battleground go home show

WWE.com

The viewership for last night's episode of Monday Night Raw is in and despite the fact that it was the go home show to the Battleground pay-per-view (PPV) this Sunday night, not to mention featured the return of Ric Flair and hype for the big Sting announcement, the numbers were down from last week.

Indeed, last week's show did 4.38 million viewers while this week dropped down to 4.15 million.

Here's the hourly breakdown:

Hour one: 4.00 million
Hour two: 4.23 million
Hour three: 4.23 million

There was stiff competition over on ESPN with the Home Run Derby (which was actually down in viewership this year compared to the past couple), so it makes sense the number would be down. Still, it was over four million viewers for all three hours and that's about as good as WWE could ask for in this situation.

Business should pick up next week with the kickoff to SummerSlam getting underway and Brock Lesnar returning to television shortly.
