Daniel Bryan stripped of WWE title; Money in the Bank ladder match to determine new champion

Although we already this was coming thanks to word leaking out earlier today, it's now official: Daniel Bryan has been stripped of the WWE world heavyweight championship because he could not get clearance to wrestle at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view (PPV) on Sun., June 29, 2014, at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Money in the Bank ladder match scheduled for the same show will no longer have a briefcase up for grabs but rather the WWE title.

This was made clear on tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw in Minneapolis.

They played a video of Dr. Joseph Maroon saying that Bryan's long term health would be compromised if he wrestled at Money in the Bank but he will be reevaluated in the coming weeks.

It was also announced that Randy Orton is entered into the match because he "is who he is and he just deserves it". So he won't have to work a qualifier match. He joins Alberto Del Rio as the two announced participants for the match so far.
