Report: Daniel Bryan injury to force him off Money in the Bank; will be stripped of WWE title

According to a report from SEScoops.com, Daniel Bryan has not been able to receive medical clearance to return from his neck injury. That means he will not be able to wrestle at the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for Sun., June 29, 2014, at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

Because of that, he will be stripped of the WWE world heavyweight championship.

The Observer is reporting this news was known as early as last Friday and a decision has already been made on who will become the next champion. It looks likely Bryan will be surrendering the title on tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw in Minneapolis.

As announced previously, this means the Money in the Bank ladder match at the upcoming PPV will now be the WWE title. So far, only Alberto Del Rio has qualified for the match.

This does call into question what happens with Brie Bella now that she quit in storyline to protect Bryan from having to lose the title. There's still no word on how much of that is reality or story, but with Bryan now being forced to vacate the title anyway, it certainly seems as though it was all for naught.
