WWE Raw results, live blog for May 5, 2014: Extreme Rules fallout show

WWE Monday Night Raw comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (May 5, 2014) from the Times Union Center in Albany, New York, featuring the fallout show from the Extreme Rules "special event" that went down just last night in New Jersey.

Advertised for tonight: Batista's status will surely be addressed, The Shield going over Evolution, Daniel Bryan remaining WWE world heavyweight champion and how Stephanie McMahon feels about it, Bray Wyatt recruiting "Little Johnny" in his war with John Cena, and more!

United States Championship 20 Man Battle Royale

Result: Sheamus wins and is the new United States Champion

Highlights:

• It's just a huge brawl to start things off and is that way for a while so the highlights are going to be held off till it clears out a bit and the action can actually be kept track of.
• Ambrose, Rybaxel, Sheamus, Swagger, and Santino are the final six after Santino eliminates Ziggler with the cobra.
• Rybaxel quickly eliminates Santino and then starts to try and clean house.  They decimate all and start to go after the champ.  Ambrose is able to stave off Rybaxel and eliminate them both.
• Swagger tries to take advantage and eliminate Ambrose, but he counters and is able to toss Swagger.  Unfortunately he turns right into a Brogue Kick.  Sheamus is able to then toss out Ambrose and become the champion.
• After the match, HHH comes out and says that the Shield's luck is changing and they will be in six man action against the Wyatt Family tonight.

Bryan is sharing a nice moment with Brie in the back when Steph interrupts them.  She says that all he did last night was anger the monster and that means violence is coming.

When Steph leaves and shuts the door- a Kane mask is nailed to the door.

RVD vs Cesaro

Result: RVD wins by DQ

Highlights:

• Cesaro opens up with some uppercuts and a big slam.  RVD fires back with some kicks and then hits one off the top rope.  Rolling thunder and Cesaro rolls out of the ring and confers with Heyman.
• Cesaro makes his way back in and targets the busted up eye of RVD.  He charges in though and RVD sends him to the outside and then hits a plancha and then hits a moonsault off the apron.
• RVD tosses Cesaro back in and hits a slingshot leg drop.  Cesaro is able to plant RVD face first into the turnbuckle to take back control.
• The two exchange a series of quick counters that ends with Cesaro hitting a German suplex as we head to break.
• Back from break, and Cesaro is working a sleeper.  RVD breaks free and tries to go off the top rope but Cesaro hits him with an uppercut.  His follow up uppercut sends RVD tumbling into the corner.
• Triple gut wrench suplex gets a two count.  RVD breaks free with some kicks and tries to go up top but Cesaro trips him and RVD gets his leg caught in the rope.  Cesaro just punches RVD a ton and doesn't stop when the ref asks him so he gets DQed.
• Even after the DQ, Cesaro continues to beat on Cesaro until Heyman is able to get him to stop so that his client doesn't get suspended.

Bryan and Brie talking some more when the lights go out.  They bail and run into Stephanie.  Stephanie gives them the ok to leave.

Cody Rhodes vs Ryback

Result: Ryback wins by pinfall

Highlights:

• Rhodes with the early strikes and when Ryback tries to counter, Rhodes dumps him to the outside.
• Ryback confers with Axel and then gets back in with a vengeance and a big power slam.  Follows it up with a big elbow that lays out Rhodes.  Ryback continues his assault with some clotheslines and a couple of big slams.
• Rhodes can't catch a break as every time Rhodes tries to escape, Ryback plants him back down.  Ryback with a sleeper and when Rhodes fights out he eats a Spinebuster.  Ryback misses with a splash off the top rope.
• My cable screwed up and I missed the little bit of action that lead to Ryback hitting Shell Shocked for the win.

Los Matadores and El Torito are starting to have a Cinco de Mayo celebration when 3.5MB interrupts.

"This is American- speak English"- Jinder Mahal

McIntyre says they have a peace offering that Los Matadores should accept.  They don't and a brawl erupts that leads to Los Matadores clearing the ring and celebrating.

Alexander Rusev w/ Lana vs Kofi Kingston

Result: Rusev wins by submission

Highlights:

• Lana cuts a pre-match promo about the brilliance of Putin and the patriot Snowden.  "You secrets are safe"-Lana
• Rusev's opening salvo is a series of muay thai kicks and some headbutts.  Kofi tries to fight back so Rusev hits one hell of a belly to belly.
• After a couple of more slams, Kofi springs to life with a flurry of kicks and a dropkick that downs Rusev.  He goes up top and hits a 180 splash for a one count.  He goes up top again but this time Rusev catches him and hits a fall away slam.
• Spinning sideslam and the Accolade for the win.

Bryan and Brie are getting into a car when Stephanie knocks on the window.  She apologizes and says she know she said it was ok for them to leave, but they can't until his match (which is next).  If he doesn't compete, it will be a breach of contract and he will be stripped of the championship.

Bryan and Brie start to head back for his match.

Daniel Bryan vs ADR

Result: Bryan wins by submission

Highlights:

• Bryan with an early dropkick and then some uppecuts.  Series of roundhouses but ADR counters back with a super kick.  Flurry of punches and then a couple of shoulder locks.
• ADR using the ropes for a choke and then he lays into Bryan with some punches of his own.  Bryan fires back with some punches and kicks of his own.
• Bryan with the backflip and then a running clothesline.  Bryan's follow up gets countered with a backstabber.  ADR sends Bryan to the outside and then puts Bryan into the barricade before mocking the Yes! chant as we head to break.
• Back from break and ADR has a sleeper.  Bryan fights out with some elbows and goes for a German but ADR counters with one of his own.  ADR with a tilt a whirl back breaker and he goes up top.  On the turnbuckle he mocks the chant again but Bryan nails ADR mid air.
• Bryan working over the knee and then a baseball slide to send ADR to the outside.  Bryan tries for the knee again but ADR fights him off and puts him head first into the barricade.  ADR tosses him back in and hits a DDT.
• The two start trading punches and kicks that leads to a Bryan top toe hold in the corner and then kicking the rope into ADR's throat.  They two continue to exchange kicks and then ADR with some spears in the corner.
• Bryan fights back and lays ADR out with a head kick.  he goes up top and hits the flying headbutt for a two count.
• Running dropkicks sends ADR to the outside and Bryan hits a suicide dive.  Bryan tosses him back in and goes up top but ADR hits an enziguiri for a two count.
• ADR tries to follow up with another tilt a whirl backbreaker but Bryan counters into the Yes! Lock and ADR taps out.
• As Bryan celebrates when Kane's pyro hits and they immediately run to the back.  They make it to the car but it won't start.  Bryan starts to look under the hood but when thinks he has fixed it- Kane appears inside the care.  Bryan is able to drag him out but Kane slams him onto the car.  Bryan makes it back into the car and Bryan starts to peel away which sends Kane off the car.  Bryan gets back out and just stares at the downed Kane as Brie begs him to get back in the car.
• Kane sits up so Bryan gets back in the car and bolts

Intercontinental Championship Match: Bad News Barret (c) vs Big E

Result: Barrett wins by pinfall

Highlights:

• Barrett has some Bad News.  This crowd of slops and pigs isn't worthy of a champion such as himself.
• Big E with some early german suplexes and then three backbreakers.  Barrett fights back with a series of clotheslines and some slams.  Barrett sends Big E to the back and he barely makes it back for the count as we head to break.
• Back from break and Barrett is still in control with a series strikes.  He goes for Wasteland but Big E sheds him and sends him to the apron.  Big E charges but Barrett nails him with a big knee.  Barrett tries to take advantage but E counters and sends him to the opposite apron.  Big E with a big spear to the outside.
• He tosses Barrett back in and gets a nearfall.  Big E with a power slam and he goes for the Big Ending but Barrett counters with an eye rake that the ref didn't see it.  Bullhammer for the win.

Swagger and Colter and he has a big sign that is his deportation list.

Cesaro, Heyman, Emma, Santino, Sheamus, and Paige.  He insults them all before Rose and the Express interrupts.

Colter is dumbfounded as Rose makes his way to the ring and prances around them.

Rose offers Colter his lollipop- he refuses in disgust.

Rose grabs his mustache and tells him "Don't be a lemon, be a Rosebud".  Swagger attacks but Rose nails him with a kick and sends him to the outside.

The posse hits the ring and they party around Zeb before he escapes the ring.

The Shield vs the Wyatt Family

Result: Wyatts win by pinfall

Highlights:

• Wyatt tries to hold his boys back at the start but Shield swarms them and it starts off with a big brawl.
• When the brawl clears up Ambrose and Rowan start things off.  Ambrose with some punches in the corner and then he takes out Rowan's knee before tagging in Rollins.
• Rowan with a couple of slams and then a tag to Harper.  Harper with some punches, but Rollins fires back with a kick to the gut and a tag to Ambrose.  Double suplex and then some ground and pound from Ambrose before tagging in Reigns.
• Reigns with some quick offense before a tag to Rollins.  Rollins gets beat up by Harper and driven into the Wyatt corner.  Tag to Wyatt and he works over Rollins a bit before tagging in Rowan.  Rowan with some clubbing strikes but Rollins with a big boot to a charging Rowan.  Rollins off the top rope but Rowan catches him.  Rollins escapes however and hits an enziguiri before tagging Ambrose.
• Ambrose swarms Rowan with a flurry of punches and some dropkicks.  He knocks Harper off the apron and then slingshots himself over the rope for a plancha.  Rowan takes the chance to hit him with an elbow but Ambrose with the clothesline off the ropes.  He locks in the Figure Four as everyone else gets in the ring and squares off.  Ambrose breaks the hold and we have a staredown that takes us to break.
• Back from break and Ambrose is slugging it out with Harper.  Harper gets the advantage and tags in Wyatt would hits a couple of slams before some clubbing blows.  Tag to Harper and he hits a big gut punch before tagging in Rowan who ties Ambrose in the ropes and hits some elbwos.
• Hard whips into the corner and Ambrose responds with some head kicks.  Harper with the blind tag and he ends up pulling the rope down on both men before tagging in Rollins who hits a huge plancha to both men.
• Back in the ring and Rollins hits a big neckbreaker, splash in the corner, and an STO into the turnbuckle.  Rollins goes up top for a moonsault but Harper dodges and Rollins lands on his feet.  He runs and hits a standing shooting star press.  Wyatt with a distraction.  Rollins tries to springboard but Harper pushes him to the outside and then hits a suicide dive that sends Rollins into the announcer's table.
• Harper tosses him back in the ring and goes to work with some punches.  Tag to Wyatt who gets a few slams in before tagging back in Harper.  Harper flips Rollins onto his feet and then nails him with a superkick.
• Rollins with a desperate counter enables him to get the hot tag to Reigns who just clears house of everyone on the Wyatt family.  This ends with Reigns hitting a Superman Punch on Wyatt.  As the go for the Triple Powerbomb- Evolution hits the scene.
• Wyatts try and take advantage, but they can't and Rollins-Ambrose take out Orton-Batista and Harper-Rowan with a double suicide dive.  Reigns with a Superman Punch to HHH which gives time for Wyatt to recover and hit the Sister Abigail for the win.
• Evolution goes to work now and starts to beat down the Shield.  HHH goes for the Pedigree on Reigns but he fights out only to end up in an RKO.  HHH hits the Pedigree successfully this time as Evolution stands tall over the downed Shield.
• Evolution Triple Powerbombs Reigns.  They do the Shield fist pose over REigns' body.
