WWE Raw results and live blog for June 17: Payback fallout show

Complete results and a running live blog for tonight's (June 17, 2013) episode of "Monday Night Raw" from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, featuring the fallout show from the "Payback" pay-per-view last night in Chicago.

WWE Monday Night Raw comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (June 17, 2013) from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, featuring the fallout show from the Payback pay-per-view (PPV) that went down just last night in Chicago, Illinois.

John Cena is still WWE champion, Curtis Axel is the new Intercontinental champion, Alberto Del Rio is the new world heavyweight champion, AJ Lee is the new Diva's champion, The Shield still hold all of all the gold, and CM Punk is back on the roster, although we're not sure if he's going to be on this show or not. Plus, Triple H and Vince McMahon are still at each other's throats. Oh, and Mark Henry is returning!

Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez starting things off for us tonight.

Del Rio is calling himself Superman.

He is taking us through his recent history.

He says he had been fighting for the fans but when he finally fought for himself he won the title.

Alberto tries to continue but Punk and Heyman make their way out!

Punk hits the ring and gets a mic.

Punk reminds Del Rio of their previous feud and Punk coming out on top.

He has taken umbrage with Del Rio calling himself the best.

Heyman interjects himself and Punk isn't too pleased by it.

Heyman wants the title to be on the line but Punk doesn't seem to care about it.

He just wants to be the best in the world.

Team Brickie comes out and makes the Punk-Del Rio match for the Main Event of Raw.


Punk and Heyman talking in the back. Punk is upset that Heyman got involved last night and almost cost him the match.

He says he isn't a client and he doesn't want Heyman at ringside anymore.

Punk apologizes and states that "I will always be a Paul Heyman guy"


Barrett is trying to cash in his rematch clause but Vickie comes out and announces a surprise opponent.


Christian vs Wade Barrett

Christian opens up early and sends Barrett to the outside.

Barrett recovers and starts to works Christian over with some punches and kicks.

Captain Charisma with a reversal and some clotheslines to retake control.

Tornado DDT for a two count.

Barrett tries to mount a comeback. but can't and Christian hits the Kill Switch for the win.

Christian wins by pinfall.




Rhodes Scholars vs Sheamus

Rhodes Scholars just stomping Sheamus.

Snapmare from Sandow leads to a Dropkick from Rhodes.

Elbow of Disdain from Sandow.

Sandow restrains Sheamus as Rhdoes slaps him.

Sheamus breaks free and tosses Rhodes from the ring.

He takes out Sandow and then Rhodes who was coming off the top rope.

Sheamus tries for the Brogue Kick but Sandow with a roll up for the win.

Rhodes Scholars win by pinfall.

As Sandow is celebrating up the ramp, Rhodes eats a Brogue Kick.


Team Brickie and HHH are in the back.

HHH heckles Team Brickie and there isn't much else to the segment.


Kane is in the back with Bryan. Kane wants to give Hell No another run but Bryan doesn't seem amenable to it.

Kane seems to be getting through to him and wishes him luck but Bryan soon turns it around on him.


Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton in a No DQ match

Bryan opens up early with kicks.

He is methodically chopping down the legs of Bryan but and Orton slam gives him control.

Orton works some more slams and clothesline. Bryan tries to make a come back but Orton with an eye gouge.

He quickly sends Bryan to the outside and follows up with some punches.

Back in the ring and Orton is giving Bryan a licking in the corner.

Bryan escapes and hits his backflip escape.

Series of dropkicks in the corner from Bryan.

Bryan keeps the pressure on but Orton makes it to the outside and gets a Kendo Stick from under the ring.

He beats down Bryan with it and gets a two count as we head to break.

Back from break and the two are brawling on the turnbuckle.

Bryan gets the advantage and knocks Orton off. Follows up with a missile dropkick.

Bryan with a series of holds and he tries to work in the No Lock.

Orton counters and sling shots Bryan over the ropes and follows up with a huge low blow.

Orton follows Bryan out (after the doctor checks on Bryan) and hits a slam onto the barrier.

The doctor and the reg check on Bryan again. The referee calls of the match.

Orton wins by referee decision.


AJ and Big E to the ring.

AJ is on the mic and she is talking about her victory over Kaitlyn.

She throws a challenge out for any woman in the back who thinks they can take her.

Out comes Stephanie McMahon.

McMahon calls her out on her behavior and AJ throws it back in her face.

They continue to bicker and AJ calls herself Stephanie, but younger and without the pants suit.

Stephanie says she can take everything AJ has away from her.

Out comes Kaitlyn and some of the other divas. As Stephanie leaves, she tells Kaitlyn that she better never interupt her again.

Kaitlyn talks about and then hits the ring to try to beat AJ down.

Big E pulls her out and then carries her off as AJ is going nuts trying to get at Kaitlyn.


United States Championship Match: Dean Ambrose(c) vs Kane

The two men trade some early strikes.

Kane with a couple of whips into the corner and then a sidewalk slam.

Kane goes up top and hits Ambrose with the flying clohtesline.

Reigns and Rollins makes their way to the ring and interfere.

A Reigns spear takes down Kane.

Kane wins by DQ.

They finish up the beatdown and bail on the ring.

No one out to help Kane.


Shield walking in the back and Team Brickie confronts them.

Ambrose taunts her about her threats.

Vickie seems like she is about to fire him and in comes Vince.

Vince putting over the Shield.

He saves them from Vickie and talks about his dislike of Kane.




Colter out with the mic.

He says that these times cause unusual alliance and puts over Cesaro.

Colter + Cesaro! YES! YES! YES!

Cesaro comes out and he is wrestling Regal!

Antonio Cesaro vs William Regal

Cesaro is taking it to Regal with a variety of slam.

Gut wrench suplex from Cesaro and then hits a another huge slam.

Some interesting slam from Cesaro and this is just beautiful.

Hard to live blog it because it's too great.

After some more Cesaro mastery, he hits the Neutralizer for the win.

Cesaro wins by pinfall.

After the match, Cesaro busts out a Gadsen flag and drapes it on Regal.


Out comes Cena.

He is talking about the various challenges in his life.

He thanks his fans and starts talking MitB.

Cena is saying that there will never be a time where he isn't ready for the potential cash in so they better be ready for his best.

Out comes Mark Henry and he is rocking an awesome pink blazer.

He leaves his wrestling boots at the top of the stage.

He gets a mic and tells Cena that he can drop his guard.

Fans chanting for Henry.

Henry is in tears as the fans break out a Thank You Henry.

"I figure if you all forget me, at least you'll remember this coat"

Of course a sexual chocolate chant breaks out.

He starts to put over Cena now.

He says he has done a lot and had success. "Not the success that John has had".

He says that he is formally retiring from the active roster and the fans give him a one mroe match chant.

He calls the crowd great and Cena gives him the title to hold up.

He gives the title back to him shortly and says its something he's got to earn.

"Don't cry for me Argentina. I am doing enough crying for everybody"

Henry thanks his family.

A fan is calling about Mae Young for being his wife and Henry playfully calls the guy a dummy.

Him and Cena hug.


"You think it's that easy! I GOT A LOT LEFT IN THE TANK!"

"That will be mine soon"


Mark Henry in the back and someone starts to interview him.

He says he had us all fooled and played us like a fiddle.

Henry let's us know that he played with us like puppets.

Mark Henry is awesome. That is all.


Chris Jericho vs Heath Slater

Jericho opens up with some chops and elbows.

Big kick from Slater.

The offense from Slater doesn't last long as Jericho quickly takes back control.

Lionsault to Codebreaker for the pinfall.

Jericho wins by pinfall.

The other members of 3MB try to attack him post match but are quickly foiled.


Axel and Heyman with Striker.

Striker asks about Heyman and Punk. Heyman says true friends know you need space sometimes and then he puts over Axel.


Curtis Axel vs Sin Cara

Miz on commentary.

Early offense from Sin Cara.

A series of forearms give the champ the advantage.

Sin Cara makes a comeback with a hurricarana and a dropkick.

Axel recovers quickly and starts to grind down on the luchadore.

Sin Cara tries to get airborne but Sin Cara snuffs it out.

Axel with a guillotine DDT for the pinfall.

Axel wins by pinfall.


Vince in the back with Team Brickie and Stephanie. He is asking what they are going to do about henry and Cena.

They want them to square off at MitB.

In comes HHH and he is upset about her not punishing the Shield.

Vince says he didn't know anything about it. They both make demands of her and walk out.

Stephanie puts her arm around Vickie and says that she shouldn't listen to either. "You know who to listen to" and draws her in closer. Vickie looks like she is about to cry.


Punk and Heyman in the back. Heyman gives Punk a hug while wishing him luck and calling him the best in the world.


CM Punk vs Alberto Del Rio

Punk goes after him hard to start the night.

Del Rio bails quickly.

He gets back in and Punk forces him to bail again with a series of kicks.

He decides to follow Del Rio out and hits a big chop before tossing him back in.

In the ring and Del Rio starts to take control with kicks of his own.

Del Rio working the arm with a series of holds and then hits an enziguri to it.

Punk fights free with some elbows and goes for the GTS.

Del Rio scrambles free and bails to the outside once again.

Punk with a suicide dive!

Punk tosses Del Rio back in.

Ricardo with a distraction that allows Del Rio to kick Punk off the apron as we head to break.

Back from break and Del Rio is in control.

He goes off the top rope and Punk counters.

Punk selling his arm.

Kick to the face from Punk and follows it with some knees.

Del Rio with a arm breaker.

He continues to work over the arm and then hits superkick for a two count.

Punk with a GTS but the momentum sends Del Rio out of the ring.

As the ref counts Ricardo, drags Del Rio away.

Ziggler comes sprinting out and and flies off the stage and Del Rio.

Ziggler going to town on him.

CM Punk wins by countout.

Punk with his arm raised and here comes Lesnar!!!!!

He makes his way to the ring and stares down Punk.


Lesnar looks at his work as we fade to black
