Brock Lesnar and Triple H continuing their feud may not have been able to keep Monday Night Raw from going into its usual annual lull period after WrestleMania, and John Cena as WWE champion feuding with Ryback may not have been able to do so either, but Undertaker still moves the needle.
Indeed, "The Deadman" returned to Raw last night (April 22, 2013) to team up with Daniel Bryan and Kane for a match against The Shield and the ratings reflected growth from the past couple weeks, averaging 4.4 million viewers over all three hours.
Here's the hourly breakdown:
Hour one: 4.19 million
Hour two: 4.65 million
Hour three: 4.36 million
That's not out of the norm with a big growth for the second hour leading to a drop off in the third. For the record, the Undertaker & Team Hell No vs. The Shield match occurred during the end of the second hour and into the third. It's expected to be the high point of the show.
He may have just turned 48-years-old and his body may be rapidly deteriorating but "The Deadman" can still bring it ... in more ways than one.
