CM Punk says WWE will give him a 'live mic' on Raw tonight, will likely address injury concerns

CM Punk tells Ariel Helwani WWE has given him a live mic for his appearance on tonight's (April 15, 2013) episode of Monday Night Raw in South Carolina. He also teases a big update on his injuries.

WWE has been promoting tonight's (April 15, 2013) episode of Monday Night Raw at the Bi Lo Center in Greenville, South Carolina, as the big return of CM Punk, his first appearance following his loss to Undertaker at WrestleMania 29. But what will he have to say?

During an interview with Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour today, "The Straight Edge Superstar" said the company has decided to give him a live microphone, though the only thing he teased talking about is his injury status and whether or not there are plans for him to take time off as has been so heavily rumored for months now.

PWTorch.com has the quotes and recap of his appearance:

"They've given me one of those live microphones again, so we'll see what happens," Punk told MMA reporter Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour Monday. Asked if he's healthy, Punk said, "I don't want to spoil anything. If you ask me that question tomorrow, you'll get more. I don't want to spoil it if I discuss it tonight."

Punk also teased that might attend the UFC on Fox event this Saturday in San Jose, Calif., which suggests he will not be on the European Tour. Punk said it should make sense after his Raw promo.

It's been reported that Punk has been suffering from knee and elbow injuries for some time and he aggravated both during his match with Undertaker on April 7 at WrestleMania. The spot where he came off the top rope for an elbow drop on the Spanish announce table was particularly problematic seeing as the table decided to finally fight back and didn't break despite the impact.

Undertaker, meanwhile, came away from the match relatively unscathed, but that's neither here nor there.

One thing to note here is with the tragedy in Boston today (read and stay up to date on it here if you would like), it's unlikely WWE would allow Punk to unleash anything particularly stinging. And while he's saying he's been given carte blanche, the hope is there will be no references to "pipe bombs" or anything of the like.

Stay tuned for Raw tonight to see what Punk has to say. Follow the live blog starting at 8 p.m. ET by clicking here.
