By all accounts, Randy Orton was none too happy with the smark audience at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey, going into business for itself on this past Monday night's (April 8, 2013) episode of Raw. Indeed, you could even see it on his face during his match with Sheamus while the crowd did the wave and chanted for anything they could think of.
Put simply, they turned on the match and "The Viper" wasn't a big fan.
What has mostly gone unnoticed until The Masked Man at Grantland pointed it out in a recent column is the above video -- that may not stay up long, so get it while you can -- showcasing Orton getting flustered in the ring and completely forgetting his lines. He stalls for time then outright walks up to Sheamus and asks him for his line. Sheamus, baffled, talks to him, though it's difficult to make out what he's saying.
Orton then proceeds with the rest of his promo. The video says he's improvising and that could be the case.
Either way, he was flustered and this was before the match, where the heavy chanting started. This was even before the poll results were revealed and WWE made the decision to crap all over them.
So for those who were already thinking Orton doesn't really have his head in the game as of late, here's some video evidence to bolster your theory.
Thoughts otherwise?
