WWE Raw results, live blog for Dec. 30, 2013: Happy New Year!

WWE Monday Night Raw comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Dec. 30, 2013) from the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia, featuring a New Year's special and the very last show of the year from WWE.

Advertised for the show: Big Show is a gigantic baby and he's being ribbed as such in promo videos for the show where he's literally dancing while wearing only a diaper. So, expect something with that. Elsewhere, Fandango challenges Big E. Langston for the Intercontinental championship.

WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR DEC. 30

CM Punk starting things off for us tonight.

Punk is hyping up his 2013 and talking about his feuds with Rock, Undertaker, and Heyman.

Punk says despite all of that it hasn't been his year.

He says it has been the year of the Shield as they have been unstoppable.

He has a proposition for them to end the year right as soon as they cross pathes- cue Shield's music.

They hit the ring and Ambrose says Punk better finish his though and if it isn't good they will end him right now.

Punk says he wants to take on the best of the Shield and Ambrose assumes he wants to challenge to him.

Punk calls out Ambrose as the weak link which sets Ambrose off.

Punk wants to find out if its Reigns and starts to call him out.

Rollins interjects and says its him.

Reigns tries to talk to sense into Rollins and they get into it a bit about the challenge.

Out comes Maddox!

Maddox makes the Punk-Rollins match and it starts right now.

CM Punk vs Seth Rollins

Results: Punk wins by pinfall

Highlights:

• Bell rings and a quick scuffle leads to Punk tossing Rollins out of the ring as we head to an early break.
• Back from break and Rollins is stomping Punk in the corner
• Rollins gets tangled up in the ropes and the ref has to pull Punk off of Rollins as he lays into him with a series of strikes
• The two are having a steady back and forth with neither men really gaining momentum or traction
• Bad communication between the two leads a botched roll up
• Rollins gains the uperhand with some knees and tosses Punk out of the ring
• Ambrose taunting Punk after he landed on the outside as we head to break
• Back from break and Rollins is dodging a Punk spear that sends him into ring
• Rollins with a leg drop from the top rope that misses
• Punk with a neckbreaker into a roll up for two
• Shield distracts Punk and Rollins hits a buckle bomb for two
• Punk with a roundhouse is dodged by Rollings who hits an enziguiri
• Rollins teases a GTS but Punk counters and hits a running knee
• Punk goes up top but Rollins just rolls away
• Ambrose taunting Punk face to face from the outside
• Rollins goes up top and Punk crotches him
• Punk with a superplex attempt but Rollins knocks him down and hits a crossbody but Punk rolls through into an Anaconda Vice!
• Ambrose tries to interfere so Punk lets go
• Rollins and Punk begin to counter each other's Sliced Bread attempts!
• Rollins end up hitting his but the Shield trying to distract again caused the ref to get to the count late
• Punk sends Rollins to the apron and Rollins springboards himself right back into a GTS for the three count!

Maddox tells them he wants to step forward.

Bryan comes in and says he won't let 2013 end without getting his hands on Bray Wyatt.

Maddox says he has to earn it and says that if Bryan beats Harrper and then Rowan, he will get Wyatt.

Stephanie says that was good but plans to top it by announcing the ME of the Royal Rumble.

Stephanie says there is nothing they would have changed from the past year especially since they unified the titles.

She plays a video that provides a good retrospective on his career.

WWE video production at it's finest once again.

After the lengthy video ends, Stephanie announces that Orton will be facing John Cena at the Royal Rumble with victory by pinfall or submission only.

HHH with Stephanie in the back and he says that he has a big announcement of his own to make later.

Dolph Ziggler vs Curtis Axel

Results: Ziggler wins by pinfall

Highlights:

• Axel with early control and a series of viscous elbows to a down Ziggler
• Axel dropkick that makes Ziggler look like he took a .45 to the face
• Axel tries to throw Ziggler into the corner but Ziggler counters it and Axel heads face first into the second turnbuckle and he sells it like Ziggler
• Ziggler with some punches in the corner and then a neckbreaker
• Ziggler tries to follow up but Axel takes control with a big slam and somes ground and pound
• Axel takes a quick breath but Ziggler springs into action witha Zig Zag for the three count

Intercontinental Championship Match: Big E Langston (c) vs Fandango

Result: Big E Langston wins by pinfall

Highlights:

• Big E with some early hossing but Fandango hits a big spinning heel kick to take control
• Series of headbutts and forearms from Fandango
• Big E shoulder block and then two spears in the corner
• Big E sends Fandango to the outside and then slams him into the barrier
• Back in the ring and Fandango is working the legs to keep Big E from getting momentum built up
• Fandango working a submission on Big E's legs and then eventually sends him to the outside as we head to break
• Back from break and Fandango is working over Langston in the corner and follows it up with a clothesline
• Another leg based submission from Fandango but Langston punches his way out only to end up in another submission
• Big E sends Fandango onto the apron and then hits a belly to belly to bring him back into the ring
• Big E goes for a splash but Fandango counters with a knee and then hits a tornado DDT
• Fandango goes for the top rope leg drop but Big E rolls his way out of the ring
• Fandango follows him out with a dropkick from the apron and then rolls him back in
• Langston with a clothesline, suplex, and splash
• Big Ending to get the victory
• Damn fine match

Punk vs Reigns at Old School Raw

Booker T comes out with a bunch of random talent in party hats and the likes. He says that he is going to bust otu a New Year's spinarooni for the New Year's Raw Party.

Bad News Barrett interrupts and goes ham sandwich out there.  I can't do it justice, I really can't.  He just decimates all of the talent, the fans, and really the world as a whole with his prognostications about 2014 and promises to be right there delivering us the bad news.

Amazing.

Damien Sandow vs Great Khali

Results: Damien Sandow wins by pinfall

Highlights:

• Great Khali with a ton of chops
• Sandow with a bunch of offense but nothing looking good out there because he's in there with Great Khali
• Sandow wins with a roll up

R-Truth vs Brodus Clay

Result:

Highlights:

• Woods on commentary
• Big splash from Clay and then a heart punch
• A bunch of bad wrestling from Clay and he is ready to finish it when Woods gets up on the announce table and dances to distract Clay as the funkadactyls hit the stage as well as the music plays
• Truth with a kick counter to Clay and a slam to get the win.
• Only good thing was Woods on commentary

HHH out for his announcement and he brings out Brock Lesnar!

Lesnar makes his way out with Heyman who shakes hands with HHH.

HHH hands Heyman the mic and walks away.

Heyman says that Lesnar isn't here to be his instrument of revenge.

Heyman says that he is here to declare Lesnar's desire to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Lesnar then takes the mic and then says he doesn't care if its Orton or Cena.

He proclaims he doesn't need the Rumble or to stand in line for a title shot.

He says the line starts with him and dares anybody to try and stop him.

Heyman says there is no one man enough to take up that challenge.

The World's Strongest Man though meets the challenge and makes his way out.

Lesnar doesn't even let Lesnar get in the ring and hits him with a running knee.

Henry tosses Lesnar out of the ring and follows him out.

Lesnar tackles Henry through the barrier back to the announcing table!

Lesnar picks up Henry and hits the F5!

Heyman gets in between the two and calms Lesnar down by telling him that the message has been sent.

Total Divas vs AJ and Tamina-less Non-Total Divas

Results: Aksana wins by pinfall

Highlights:

• Kaitlyn and Eva Marie started things off.  Save me from this hell.
• Naomi with her wonderful hurricarana
• Summer Rae being awesome with her character work
• A brawl briefly erupts after a bunch of bad wrestling
• Aksana ends up with the pinfall after an elbow drop to the back of Nikki's neck

Maddox in the back and he tells HHH and Stephanie that he has handled the ref situation from earlier due to Khali's shoulders not being on the match.

Maddox says he has gotten Stephanie and HHH's favorite including "Wooooo"

Daniel Bryan vs Luke Harper

Result: Bryan wins by pinfall

Highlights:

• Harper with the early momentum as he lands some heavy strikes on Bryan
• Bryan gets Harper tied up in the ropes and hits a running drop kick to the knee
• Bryan with some kicks and a leg drag that leads to a surfboard stretch
• Harper with a big boot gets him back the advantage
• A double chop from Harper and then he grinds his foot repeatedly into Bryan in the ropes
• Harper with a springboard into the second rope
• Harper with some slams and then some vicious punches in the corner
• He goes for a splash but Bryan hits a drop toe hold and then a running dropkick
• He goes for a second one but Harper counters it with a sitout slam as we head to break
• During the break Harper apparently slamed Bryan into the barrier repeatedly
• Bryan backflip in the corner and he hits a running clothesline
• Bryan with some kicks and then he goes up for a missile dropkick
• More kicks from Bryan that take Harper down for a two count
• Harper goes up top but Bryan meets him up there for a hurricarana but Harper counters with a sit out powerbomb from the second rope!  Harper only gets a two count
• Harper with some more slams and tries to follow up but Bryan counters into the Yes! Lock
• Harper bit Bryan to break the hold and then hits a big boot
• Uppercut and some double chops
• Harper goes for a German Suplex but Bryan lands on his feet and nails Harper with the running knee for the win!
