GIVE HIM FIVE.
Big E. Langston was rumored to be in line for an Intercontinental championship victory on the pre-show of the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view (PPV) back on Oct. 27 in Miami, Florida. Unfortunately, the man he was to take the title off, Curtis Axel, was unable to work the show for reasons that were never made clear.
So it was pushed back three weeks to tonight's (Nov. 18, 2013) episode of Monday Night Raw in Nashville, Tennessee, the go home edition to the upcoming Survivor Series event this Sunday night in Boston.
And we've got a new Intercontinental champion.
Indeed, Langston won a fairly mediocre match after coming out to an altered entrance theme, one catered more to a strong babyface. The announce team was also putting over how prestigious the Intercontinental title is and that more or less made it clear a switch was upcoming.
It was still sweet.
