WWE Raw results and live blog for Oct. 21: Hell in a Cell go home show

Complete results and a running live blog for tonight's (Oct. 21, 2013) episode of "Monday Night Raw" from Memphis, Tennessee, featuring the go home show to the "Hell in a Cell" pay-per-view (PPV) this coming Sunday night in Miami.

WWE Monday Night Raw comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Oct. 21, 2013) from the FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee, featuring the go home show to the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view (PPV) this Sunday night in Miami.

Advertised for tonight: A contract signing for the WWE championship match between Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan.

Stephanie and HHH out to the ring with the mic.

They recap whats going to be going down at HiaC this weekend.

HHH talks about respecting HBK and Big Show show up on the Titantron.

He says they don't know the meaning of respect.

HHH says he just doesn't respect Big Show.

Big Show is spitting hot fire at both HHH and Stephanie.

Stephanie is finally able to get Show's feed cut and HHH says that was the end of Big Show's career.

HHH says its time to get on with the show and introduces Ambrose for a match but out comes Daniel Bryan.

Dean Ambrose vs Daniel Bryan

Results: Daniel Bryan wins by submission


  • Everything.  These two are outstanding workers with great chemistry


CM Punk out to talk about his match with Ryback and Heyman.

He is going to absolutely destroy both men and be the guy who walks out of the Cell.

He isn't looking for a submission, he is looking to put them to sleep.


HHH and Stephanie say they need Vickie to handle the small stuff for them.

They walk into their office and HBK makes an appearance.

HBK prods him about Bryan possibly winning the title.

HHH says that he can see him winning but not as face of WWE.  "We aren't a wheat grass company"

HBK reminds him those things were said about both of them.

Stephanie is pissed off about Big Show and HBK says that she loved it when HBK and HHH did such antics back in the day.

HBK heads out like a cartoon character.


Santino, Khali and Hornswoggle comes out for the match all dressed as Elvis.

Santino vs Heath Slater

Results: Santino wins by pinfall


  • Slater's typically excellent bumping
  • The Cobra having Elvis hair
  • The ridiculousness of the entire thing
After the match, Santino got up and announced that the true King of Memphis was Jerry Lawler and he proceeded to get Lawler up on the announcing table to dance.


Dolph Ziggler vs Randy Orton

Results: Randy Orton wins by pinfall


  • Ziggler and Orton exchanging brutal attacks on the outside
  • Ziggler's offense was outstanding.  The kind of offense we have wanted from him for a long time.  The kind that could help him become more than jobber to the stars.
  • Ziggler's dropkick counter of the RKO that gave temporary hope to a Ziggler win
  • Excellent match


The Bellas vs AJ and Tamina

Result: The Bellas win


  • Nothing.


Renee Young with Heyman, Ryback, and Axel.

Heyman is shouting at the top of his lungs and it is awesome.

He is going off the rails and it is fantastic.

He finally brings it to calm and says that he is always calm and controlled.

Big E interrupts and Axel is ready to take him on right there.

Heyman calms him down and says that Axel doesn't work for free.


They show interviews of HBK and Bryan talking about their past together.

While they talk, some awesome footage of Bryan at the Texas Wrestling Academy.


The Wyatt Family vs Miz and Kofi

Result: Wyatt Family wins by pinfall


  • Harper launching Miz in between the ropes
  • Wyatt distracting the Miz when he was sent to the outside, giving Harper the chance to capitalize
  • Michinuko Driver!
  • Harper's sell of the hurricarana
  • Dat Lariat
After the match, Harper and Rowan tie up Miz in the ropes.  Wyatt starts cutting a promo and gets into his face.  It's utterly fantastic.  Like all of Wyatt's promos.


Big E Langston vs Curtis Axel and Ryback

Result: Match never technically started


  • Langston just going town to start things off
  • Langston fought off the two for a good while
  • As the finally started to overwhelm him, Punk came in with the kendo stick to make the save. Vickie came out and restarted the match as a tag match after we have a commercial break.

  • Punk and Ryback had some pretty solid exchanges
  • Big E getting the hot tag and wrecking shit
  • Big E flexing after the match
After the match, Punk chases Heyman away through the crowd and celebrates with some fans.


R-Truth hocking some WWE merchandise like he is Don West.



Real Americans vs Tons of Funk

Result: Real Americans win by submission


  • Zeb was on commentary
  • Cesaro uppercutting everyone to death
  • Cesaro Big Swing on the Funkasaurus
After the match, Colter gets in the ring with his boys and unveils his newest friend- a bullwhip.  HOLY SHIT GOING OLD SCHOOL DUTCH MANTELL!


Number One Contenders Match: The Shield vs The Usos

Result: No idea.  Bell rung but nothing was announced


  • Goldust and Cody on commentary
  • Rollins verbal and physical taunts
  • Reigns knocking one of the Usos off the apron onto the announce table
  • The Usos bumping their asses off
  • The fast and furious exchanges throughout the match
  • Reigns catching an Usos mid air for a Samoan Drop
  • Ambrose getting into it with the Rhodes Bros that degenerates into a brawl between all of the teams.  Some damn good brawling between everyone involved


Contract signing between Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan.

HHH, Stephanie, and HBK are out there for it.

Orton talks some trash and Bryan responds by thanking Orton.  Thanking him for pushing him harder and exposing all involved in the Authority for the narcissistic and spoiled brats that they are.

HHH talks some trash and Bryan says that HHH should turn in the suit and take him on.

HHH says he would only do that to face a star.  Something that Bryan isn't.

HHH says that HBK shouldn't have wasted his time training him.

HBK interjects now and says that he didn't waste his time.  That Bryan is very good.

HBK wonders what happened to the rebel HHH of old.

He critiques Orton which cause Orton to say that this is proving that HBK has an agenda against Orton.

HHH silences Orton and says that HBK will do what is right.

HBK wants to know what HHH has against Daniel Bryan.

Big Show drives a freaking semi into the arena as Orton and Bryan are about to brawl.

Big Show tells Orton to turn around and Orton eats a knee from Bryan.

Bryan goes to the semi and celebrates with the Big Show.
