As expected based on reports earlier today (Jan. 14, 2013), Eve Torres lost the WWE Diva's championship on tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw in Houston, Texas, to Kaitlyn, who got to win the strap in her hometown to a big pop, probably the biggest pop in a Divas match in some time.
After her win, Kaitlyn cried while celebrating and the live broadcast on USA cut to a commercial break. The cameras stayed rolling, however, and WWE took the opportunity to promote its App by having Eve quit the company in an exclusive video that we'll post later once it gets put up on YouTube.
And just like that, she's gone.
I thought David Shomaker had a tweet that did a great job of capturing the essence of the moment:
I suspected tonight's anniversary show would be full of former WWE employees but I didn't realize Eve would be one of them.
