WOOOOOOOOOOO!
"The Nature Boy" himself returned to WWE tonight (Dec. 17, 2012) on Monday Night Raw at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to present the Slammy Award for "Superstar of the Year," which was won by John Cena.
That's another issue entirely.
Rumors had been out beforehand but no one was able to confirm. Before Flair made his entrance, ring announcer Justin Roberts asked fans to "please welcome back to the WWE, the Nature Boy, Ric Flair."
Stylin' and profilin' the entire way.
This would seem to point to WWE and TNA getting its legal issues resolved. Or WWE feels confident enough in the case that they were willing to bring him back now for this night. Either way, he's back and looking pretty damn good for his age.
He has to be feeling good, too. "The Nature Boy is back in town!"
Flair would go on to get physical with Punk, taking a couple of shots from Punk's crutches before battling back to give Paul Heyman a figure four leglock to a huge ovation. He started cutting a promo after a short break but The Shield came out to interrupt. That led to an all out brawl with Kane, Daniel Bryan, and Ryback getting involved and fending off the attackers before Ryback and Kane held Flair up on their shoulders.
Welcome back, Naitch.
